Q:

Don’t trust Edgun’s. new guns design flaws

So far Ed has proven! To make mistakes (blatant mistakes)
Admitted design flaws don’t take rocket scientist to know if u increase the hammer weight or anything for that matter it’s a chain. Reaction everything is affected
His solution say sorry
he has offered no help or parts for the owners of broken guns
Like oakey said he didn’t get the first gen .30 correct so he puts out a new gun with the similar problems valve related problems
Fuck u Ed I also have sent him numerous private message but he has not answered
Same with the leyla gen 1 and two guns have issues
By this rate Ed
We all need to wait for u to make these new models for the 3rd time if history has taught us anything
So either u idiot can’t get the design to be bug free or u knowingly sold bullshit guns to finance your new guns and trip to iwa
We know about u Ed u better fix your mistakes the loyal customers who bought your guns

Hemn, I HAD a Cricket. I OWN a Matador (well actually 3 but who cares). If Ed changes his barrels I will not be happy about it. I am sure sometimes LW sends a bad barrel to EDgun but anyone who shoots a Maddy knows they are accurate.

The only complaint I have about EDgun barrels is I think the rate of twist is too fast for the .30 JSB. Yesterday I had calm winds and I was shooting targets at 250 yards. I noticed 1 MRAD spin drift at 250 yards. That is 9 inches!. I think it is a direct result of gyroscopic stability factor. I would like to see ED try a 1:24 twist and see if it improved the .30 gyroscopic stability.

CZ doesn’t make barrels smaller then 14 mm. I have 12 mm in design
. 14 mm barrel for standard Matador (477 mm) in .22 will be 200 grams heavier. As for accuracy, test EDgun, Vulcan and Cricekt at 100+ meters…

Hi Ed…thanks for the reply….

I know that Edgun LW barrels are 12 mm Diameter and CZ barrels diameter is 14 mm…

But don’t you think that the 14mm barrel diameter can be lathe for 12mm??

For the test…i know all performance for each gun i read all reviews here….but what i like to see only the EX-changing barrel results on each gun…only….

But don’t forget Chupa-Chupas are protected by law now 😀

(Just kidding….)

It’ s difficult today to find a “quality” pcp that is not accurate.

But what you want is not only accuracy but also “constancy”.

You don’t want one accurate shot, you want to have them all accurate consistently.

But to achieve this the barrel is not the only thing that comes in play, there are also other factors like regulator, trigger, recoil, etc for example.

Let’s say that the “contact point” between the gun and the shooter that helps a lot consistent accuracy is a smooth and crisp trigger.

(And keeping concentration. Honestly in my case each time I was trying to cycle the R3M I was loosing my concentration)

My dear Cousin Ok ….

I do agree with you. ..all Ed needs is just test the guns or test the first sample for about 1,000 or 2K shots ….i believe all issues will be appearing between 1K – 2K shots…. then he can go for 3K shots if he wants to be extremely comfortable about the success of the product. …

I told that already. My Matador 2nd gen. is with me for about a year, I use it a lot and more then 2K shot, everything is OK, the same with other guns I know in Russia and abroad. The worst thing is you never know how it will work in the mass production even if you test some samples quite carefully.

One more wish … i wish Ed use CZ barrels at least for few guns….the reason is: i want to see the difference between the results with the LW barrels and CZ barrels on the same Gun Matador. .. because the only factor that i can see when Vulcan and Cricket have got good results is because of the CZ barrels. ..otherwise i cannot see any better factors that Vulcan or Cricket to be superb to Edguns… which i dont think they are better than Edguns…what i can see all Vulcan , Cricket and Edgun have got the same accuracy. .. but Vulcan and Cricket cannot preform better shot count like Edgun…. if you consider all factors. ..

Also customer service by the dealers. .which Ed is starting to work on it now..and all issues. .. he will fix all..but needs time … be sure. .

I personally like the Lelya. 20 Generation even i prefer the fatter air reservoir. … with the Matador Stocks (as Brian suggested) …. or the same Lelya stock but somehow longer if possible. …

However i haven’t got any chance to get a Lelya yet…whenever I placed my orders Lelya was out of stock for my luck. … 😥

I hope Ed upgrade all his products with 3mm rods…. so that this issue will be fixed forever. …

I wish to see the R4M with the same cocking mechanism of new Lelya gen.20 … just like one of the friends suggested here….

I personally tried a lot…and still trying to get the CZ barrels for my Edguns just to see how Edgunswill perform with CZ barrels???

Just my F*****g :2cents:

Leyla is by far the best bully I have ever stood and free hand shouldered. My .20 was sold to Gabe sold but I did spend the day shooting a new .22 Caliber Leyla. It is a special gun. As far as the .30 caliber valve that was just bad crap. I believe Ed can get this behind him if he picks up his customer service and seriously tests these guns before shipping out. I hope this is how the story goes.

I have to agree with the last post in regards to the Lelya.
It’s a superb little gun and I also had blowback happening. I adjusted the screw and it became a non issue. After a few hundred pellets it’s still doing fine. Granted thats not a lot of shots but I don’t get to shoot that often.

quote ON_THE_EDGE:

I really hate hearing all of this about the issues with Edgun. I have been wanting to get a Leyla since way back, but have not had the money and even if I had they were almost impossible to get anyway.

Now I can afford one and they are available and I am hearing nothing good about Edgun. It makes me real jittery about plopping down the big bucks for one of those things.

Edgun Leyla is a very very nice gun. The only draw back is the blow back but it requires an easy fix from time to time. It is honestly a beautiful gun. .20 caliber is fantastic. The good thing about EDgun’s is they are easy to fix. The real issue that is blowing up Edgun is not the lower calibers but the 30 caliber. Ed is just getting hammered. Leyla is not the problem. Yes people have been hammered Ed for not fixing the blow back issue before sending out Leyla gen2 but it is really a non factor an easy fix Tony will send you what ever parts you need to fix the gun. However the 30 caliber valves were a far bigger issue. Buy the .20 if you always wanted one it is a great little backyard killer.

Any questions pm me

Oaks.

Because of the flaws that Ed has had with his past guns and has shown to all that he would rather produce new guns and not fix
and correct the problems of his past guns and still charging a high price for his guns which there will be in question just how many
flaws these new guns will have if any and they also will not be fixed . I do not care how nice and pretty Ed’s new guns look his past
tract record on fixing problems with his other guns shows me that he really doesn’t care if he sells you a $2000.00 Paper Weight . As
he once stated Fuck American buyers he has plenty of loyal European customers to buy his guns and keep him in business . Wake up
and smell the roses . :butkick: :butkick: :butkick:
