I’ve Been Banned
Since being banned at GTA a year ago for arguing with Dave (privately) I’ve been looking for a new hangout.

I just read a thread (well part of it) on members banned elsewhere, and I had to become a member here.
My user name was already taken. Really? Then I realized it was me. I’ve been a member here for over a year, but never made a post. Then I saw this image.
Everybody types LOL, but I really did. I don’t know if I’ll fit in here on not, but I figured after seeing that I had to give it a shot.
It might be a real Hoot: to see how people here feel about my :2cents: worth.

Some have spoken of shits about TAG members also … … :whistle: most forum all do … :rofl:
I’ve been on all forum never gotten band from any ……….. yet, but TAG is the best forum for Airguns that I know of.

I was banned from the yellow forum for making a little joke about Hillary bleaching emails. I thought a forum for guns would be anti Hillary not pro Hillary. At least we don’t have to suffer through a presidential term with her in charge. Someone at air gun nation said they were a bunch of old foggies at the yellow forum and he wouldn’t even go there. I guess I’ve always been for the man and not the party. That’s how I was raised and i’m no spring chicken myself. Some people get to upset over the lest little thing and throw there weight around when they can. There are to many good forums like this one, to go to, so I wouldn’t worry about the other.
I was once banned from a firearms gunsmith list because I asked what the definition of “political discussion was.” All I wanted was to be able to avoid it!! I was immediately banned and could get NO response from anyone as to “Why, what did I say?” That list had some great gunsmiths on it, but they were so afraid of their shadows that they would not stick up for me lest they also be banned. I figure their loss was greater than mine. But I do miss my “friends”.

I’ve told many a person over the years that I don’t give a rats ass if they think I am a nice guy or not. I try to be a good guy. Most days I feel like I succeed. If somebody doesn’t understand that they can go hang out with their “nice” “friends.”
Manners schmanners. Good manners is not wiping your nose with your hand before reaching in the salsa bowl with your chip.

On AGN, Somebody wrote a very biased and un-true comparison of an Omega vs my tanks on a spread sheet. It looked very official and “somehow” the official looking chart always managed to pop up (very often) on the forum. It made very egregious statements about my tanks, such as:
* Didn’t have DOT Certification vs Omega did
* Weren’t Certified for 4500 PSI, only 4350 PS, while stating Omega was certified for 4500 PSI.
* Didn’t have Burst Disk, vs. Omega did.
I was unaware of the attacks, but my customers responded on the forum that these statements weren’t true. As owners of my tanks, they KNEW this wasn’t true. The mods would allow those that defended my tanks to be unfairly “shouted down”, and said my customers’ statements were in error.
Eventually, a number of customers called me to warn me of what was happening, and that I should correct the errors in the posts. So, I made a post, and as proof that I know what I was stating was true, I said the following:
“My name is Joe Brancato, as owner of AirTanksForSale.com, I wish to state clearly, the following”
* My Tanks ARE DOT Certified.”
* My tanks ARE certified for 4500 PSI”
* My Tanks DO HAVE a Burst Disk”
“My Tanks are made in the USA”
In only seconds, the mods locked the thread, and then minutes later they completely deleted my response. (Maybe it was the fact that I stated my tank were made in the USA, and not in Asia, like the Omega?) Almost everyone that read the false statements never saw my corrective response. Not only that, but they then deleted EVERY post that I had EVER made on AGN. All trace of my helpful posts were deleted. (All my posts were always helpful, never a sales pitch, as I was specifically told “we’re watching you VERY closely”).
It is so obvious that the forum was (and is) one-sided for a particular vendor, that many have finally realized AGN is basically a mouth-piece for a particular vendor that holds the purse strings. It has lost all credibility as being informative. I tried to contact the registered owner of the forum with a few phone calls and emails, but he never returned any of them. I was disappointed in the lack of response, as well as the deletion of my response showing the egregious claims against my tanks being false.
You’re now a banned advertiser 😛 I find that amusing.

Ted is no longer involved at AGN. They didn’t understand how an airgun forum works and maintains success. Brand cheerleading and censorship only lasts so long. I was banned for a rather minor reason, arguing about the Wildcat vs Bobcat. They thought incorrectly that I was a trojan horse sent to destroy his board even though I had a very high accuracy rating and I truly was not out to “get” anyone. Bob getting banned from GTA is a great example of the “I’m taking my ball and going home” mentality that some forum owners have. “I own this board, and you’ll follow my law”… Well I got news for ya, without people posting the board is worthless. The relationship is users provide free knowledge and in return the owner gets advertising fees.
Who cares about GTA anyway. Navigating over there is terrible. It would be easier for a fly to free himself from a spiderweb than find topics to follow on GTA.

I find it interesting the Ted deleted his “This is my house” thread. A few members here issues with him notwithstanding, he was the reason the forum took off and he has advanced this sport.

Yep, I posted his Vulcan review, Michael called me Keysers minion and banned me…
I have it on good authority that just mentioning your name or even knowing you is enough to get you banned on some websites Keyser.

Like it here much better as I only play with AirForce rifles and pistols now.
