Q:

Cricket hammer???

Does anyone know if the cricket hammers all the same…177, .22 & .25???

Reason I ask is that my buddy’s .25 got the breach assy replaced due to a broken cocking pin, and ever sinse he got it back its doesn’t go higher then 225mps with a 220bar fill when shot down to say 160 to 120 it’s reaches 275mps and then drops off reg.

This all with the king hvys 33

I set the valve retainer to 1 turn from contact and raised the reg to 140bar to no avail…my head hurts :butkick:
Also checked transfer ports and all are 6.5mm +/- including barrel port which is elongated from factory.

Any further input much aprieciated

Jetboy… You become now a KalibrGun Master, thanks for your help!

update…

Lowered the reg pressure to 120bar and added a brass tophat to spring with 3/4turn of HST before not cocking and now getting 272/3mps.

thanks for all the help guys :8:

Correction on the TP’s sizes They are 6mm and not 6.5mm as earlier stated. I fucked up on drills used.

Regarding the weight of this hammer it’s flopping back and forth 15/16grms on my kitchen scale so I would guess 15,8/15.9grms

Here is my hammer cricket cal.22

Also I bought a couple of these from TGAG last week but haven’t had a chance yet to try it out in my 22 cal.
Said to add extra weight to the hammer to aid in increasing the velocity, but it might shorten the life span of the valve ?

Hi Octavius.

In my case, the 22. hammer weighs

Gladiator.

I will weight my hammer from cal.22 for comparison.

quote jetboy1:

No I don’t, it was returned for warranty, and the TP is the same as the valve and barrel 6.5ish mm

Man that’s a big TP for a 25 cal, that’s going into the 9mm territory !!! ???

Can you weigh the hammer ?

Not sure about the difference if any in the exact hammer weight with the 25 cal, hopefully someone will chime in for yah.

I just checked both 177 and 22 cal and they’re a bit different in weight.
The 22 is 15.652 g = 241.54 gn.
The 177 is 15.36 g = 237.04 gn.
A 4.5 gn difference in weight between them, interesting never knew there was until now …………

Also do you still have the original receiver ?
If so, I’d check if you haven’t already if the TP in them are the same size.

I suspect that the new one came with a smaller TP ?

This is one of The first .25’s with The greenish barrel blueing all original with no mods… The transfer ports are actually larger then 6.5mm I shanked it with a drill bit and still flops a bit not a tight fit by any means.

The only variable here I see is the possibility of a lighter hammer and it only started this trend after the new breach replacement.
I can lower the reg pressure a bit and yes I have a tester it’s set to 138bar from the original 130 that it was originally set at.

And I come back to my original question…
Is there differences in the hammer weights in reference to caliber?

Thanks for the input

If I good understand if you shoot from 160 to 120 it’s reaches 275mps ?? I sounds like your regulator pressure is set to high and your hammer have not enough power to open the valve property ?? Have you set regulator with regulator tester or estimated ?

More info needed ?

6.5mm TP is quite large for a 25 cal ……. … .. .
You could also add a weigh to the hammer by inserting a weight into the back of the hammer to test.
