Q:

Bleed Screw O-ring

Personally I think this trick is also a tricky thingy. Ernest says the o-ring should be 1.42mm X 1.78mm. No stores in my town carry anything that small. Also searched on line and again can’t find it. Soeeee, I have to ask one of you experts to point me in the right direction. Think I will be changing the gauge soon and according to most everyone I will be needing the o-ring. Thanks for your time!

Another trick that worked for me was to use a slightly larger steel ball bearing, instead of the factory one. When my Compact Cricket developed a leak at the bleed screw, I removed the old factory ball and dropped in a 3mm ball. Tightened it down and problem solved.

IIRC, that little o-ring from the 0-ring store was the smallest and most expensive of all the rings
when I ordered a full set of rings for my Vulcan.

The smaller one was way more expensive/ring than the rest.
Wife had a good laugh.

Did you happen to keep a list of which o-rings are needed for the Vulcan. Are .22 and .25 the same and or which ones are different. I saw where a couple members posted for o-rings and more list but I sure don’t wan to buy 50 of one item and then 30 of another etc etc. Your full set numbers were for 1 each I take it?????? Oh and if I knew what I was doing I would order 50 of each and sell them as a kit!! I’m not that bright!!

Try PMing Ernest to see where he gets his…..

I see how much Ernest is bothered with the small stuff. He is currently sending me one of the delrin hammer spring pieces. Would rather not bother him with 1 0-ring. Will try the oringstore. Thanks
