I’ve learned over the years to stand and piss with the wind, NOT into the wind! But it did take me 20 or so years to figure it out.

Right – that thing is only semi-useful in certain situations. A bit of a gimmick. When I get my laser/particle beam gun soon I won’t have to worry about any stinkin’ holdover or wind. 😛
With the mildot holdover recommendation changing every second, sometimes drastically, you’re never going to take the shot! LOL!
I usually just throw grass up in the air to judge wind speed and direction.
It buys you more headaches…………………..
$2000+ sure doesn’t buy what it used to. 😛
