Q:

Impact owner question

Im specially asking the first shipment owners of Impact this but if you have one of the newer shipments recently please indicate that and tell or show if you are missing this screw?

I have one of the first Impacts that where delivered which had the incorrect measurements of the rail. I just finally had the new rail shipped to me for different reasons but either way it finally made it in my hands. While taking the old rail off I noticed I was missing a screw so out of curiosity I looked into it a little more. What I found out was that the hole is not aligned to fit a screw in properly. Now this is “Hear-Say” but I was told by an FX distributor that that FX stated that “NO screw is suppose to be there” but with images I have posted says differently. (I would like to say there is a misunderstanding and being missed informed on this particular subject) Either-way something is not right…

I checked with Ernest videos of his impact and his clearly shows a screw in the same location.

I really want to love this rifle and it does seem to have some great promise but I guess I am little frustrated to say the least with the goofiness of all the set backs I have had with it…. :s I am finding it hard to stay humble and forgiving on this this while giving the benefit of the doubt to other parties involved…… but 😐

I had one of the first rifles sent to the US and I waited about 10 months for it. I was told the same thing about 4-5 month wait for the newer rifles because of production and the “get in line” factors.

After this experience with the Impact I will no longer buy first production air rifle. $2000 rifles should not be missing anything particularly because of a bad machined part. Either-way guns not 100% correctly assembled should of never left the factory.

I have been told there is a four to five month wait for the Impact?
Did you guys wait that long,
Mike

I have one of the early Impacts and that screw is also missing on mine but is present on my other one from the newer shipment.

Oh, I have been in contact with distributor even prior to receiving my rifle because my paper work for the rifle was over looked. Long story short I would of not received it until they realized they had an open account not fully paid and or me calling (which I did). Then I called again the day I received for missing/substituted items for the gun. I was also contacted directly by FX via email about the rails that I pointed out not being to spec . FX state that they would send me a new rail direct to me as soon as they had them corrected. The rails never happened until a few more emails and some phone calls. etc, etc and etc story goes on…

With that the rifle is getting prepped to go back to the dealer.

—edit—
Going back for to be completely repaired, replaced or returned. (I’m not hoping for the latter of the three because this gun does have some great potential from what I seen on my Shot String Statistics and Air Efficiency usage that I have calculated. Though, no matter how efficient and/or consistent the internals of the rifle is if the lead flying out POI is not consistent what good is all the other stuff.

Have you contacted the Dealer where you bought it? Or FX?

I feel for you man… :3:

Hope everything works out in the end
