Vulcan dovetail rail?
So trying out the new Vulcan Tactic in .25, I have one small gripe… The Picatinny Rail is too high. I also would prefer a dovetail rail as it would present me with more options for no limits scope mounts. I currently have a set of Warne 30mm in weaver/m1913 spec, and have to use a lot of elevation (like 1.75 full scope turret revolutions) to sight it in on my very short 10m garage range. I know it might mean I have to site in at 50, but none of my other guns have issues with needing large amounts of scope elevation dialed in at this distance. The limited choice of picatinny based adjustable scope mounts are too high, and I like as low to the barrel as possible. Anyone else have this gripe? I maybe able to shim the current picatinny rail so it angles the scope down a bit as it appears to be flat underneath and only has two hex screws, one at each end holding it to the breech block.

I believe he did a straight one on purpose, he said most people would not understand the meaning of a 20moa rail wich is BS to me. I am sure if customers asked for it he would make a 20moa rail
I wonder if Airgun Technology could make a sloped picatinny rail similar to what is available to powder burners? Like a 20MOA rail…There are only 2 screws holding the existing rail on, and it would not take much to either grind the mount down with more angle, or have an option to have one made.

The site with picatinny no limit mounts are one of the biggest in sweden and a very good company. If you contact them on info@luftvapen.se (email) then I am sure they would be happy to send you a pair. 600kr is just under 74 USD
Lol, sure. But they wiill probably hit the states soon. The minimum height of these rings in picatinny are 23mm on the 30mm version. Measured from the base to the bottom of the ring

the original rail is held by 2 bolts there, they will be tight so be careful not to damage the bolt but can be done. you can maybe replace it with a straight flat rail. some drilling may be required on the new rail but that’s it.

No limit scope mounts are available for picatinny now. At least here insweden, maybe it has not reached usa yet

you can just stick a washer or wedge under the rear bolt under the scope rail. hee
I did try the rail replacement with a Chinese straight/flat one but was narrow, leaving gaps in the cocking bolt area/ Vulcan side plates.
but the washer or shimming will work.
