Q:

QB options

So o want an accurate gun for rabbit and bird hunting. .22 Cal. Was thinking a prod, but there seems to be another good option. The .22cal QB series modded as either a PCP for 16 shots at 850ish fpd, or a regged bottle gun with 50 or more shots in the 660fps range. Which would you choose and why? I’m leaning toward the PCP just to avoid all the junk hanging off the front.

QB converted to a bottle gun- 1k psi for 12+ fpe, for 50+ shots, reg’d… can’t lose. Plus they’re cheap, and fun to work on.

GTA has a very active community on QB modded guns… I have three, and they are monsters… but it takes modification and some tools to do the job…..not hard, just takes some time. My 177 cal shoots Kodiaks in the 850’s and my 22 cal QB78 and 79 shoot JSB 18.1 gr pellets between 850-875fps … All the triggers are very, very nice. the QB78’s have 22ci tanks the ’79 has a 17ci tank
