Which side do you prefer the bolt on your Vulcan?
I’m planning a front loading bullpup project so I have a question for you Vulcan owners since you can choose which side to have the bolt.

I’m right-handed:
If I’m target/bench shoot I’d prefer it on the left side while keeping my grip/trigger location.
For pesting/hunting on the right side for more support with my left hand on the foregrip.
So, I couldn’t vote ……. but the new Edgun R4M should solve that for me though. 😉

This is my opinion as well. It would seem to me that the bolt handle could be made to have a quick change feature similar to my Benelli auto-loader shot guns. Its bolt is held in place by a detent ball and groove. That should be easy to do on the Vulcan (or similar) gun and just cut the plates on both sides the same.
I have my Vulcan set up with the bolt on the right side. I’m a lefty but most of my shooting is either off a bench, bipod or Caldwell field pod-magnum. Starlings and sparrows hate this set up! 🙂

I believe if Evgeny or any manufacturer will make the semi-auto PCP air rifle,,,then you people come with : Shit,,,why these manufacturer will not make a semi-auto aiming 😯 😯 😯 and the gun must cock/aim/shot itself automatically … we will sit in the home/ bedrooms and our PCPs will bring us birds and whatever will asked from them,,, and we will ask for mind reader,,,,, just read whats inside our mind or what we will think or like,,,then the PCPs will have Wi-fi connection with our mind ,,,then they will do whatever comes to our mind …LOL …

 good point
Fuck the bolt left or right side , make the Vulcan in a semi-auto and it will not matter what side you use to charge the gun .

What if we made an upside down u-plate for the opposite side? Might be able to have a bolt on both sides. One would run up/down reversed, but might work.
I’m a righty and prefer the bolt on the left-hand side whether I’m shooting while hunting rested and non rested or plinking. The gun is light enough for me to maintain the target in my scope’s field of vision while shooting un-rested.
I too would like it to switch depending on supported vs unsupported. I’m a right handed, LEFTY shooter.
Tried the bolt on both sides and ended up with it on the left. Off hand, it’s fine. I only get one shot at the target anyways. Better for that shot to be with my best support, trigger & vision combination. If shooting supported at a paper target, it would be nice to have faster cycling with the bolt opposite my trigger hand, but gotta optimize for priority target.

I have to agree, if there is a rest, left side, no rest, right side
I don’t own a Vulcan myself but had the chance to shoot a friends.

the best feature in Vulcan is that left side bolt while you are right hand, why?? because i can hold the stock with my right hand firmly, and keep my eye on the scope, then i can use my left hand to cock the gun, while i can keep my reticle on the target ,,, so,,,this is same for the lefty …
Edit; i don’t own Vulcan, but i had my friend’s Vulcan with me for few months … and still i use my left hand for cocking my Edguns always…

After shooting mine for a while I moved mine from the left to the right. I think it will help with the cocking smoothness by switching it back and forth from time to time and re-lubing when switching it. Mine cocks/cycles really smooth now especially after lubing with Krytox GPL215.
