hammer twang
Have 25 cal & put a piece of rubber tubing sent from TGAG on hammer spring with no noticeable twang reduction? Does the one Ernest makes help this problem & does it fit 25 cal if so how do u order from him? Was on his website but no order or contact info. Ordered moderator from TGAG & very little difference. Is their a better one. Also how do I order hammer spring tension tool ? Any help appericated

How about a piece of a tubing placed on the spring and a new hammer for .25? Do these two reduced the ping/twang? Please advise.
Was wondering about dipping the spring in liquid rubber, wonder whether that’d help?

The twang you’re hearing is not going to be reduced with any moderator – it comes from the hammer spring and the factory tubing doesn’t do much to address it. It’ll cost you less than $1 to get the right rubber grommet to fix it…
Has anyone tried flexible heat shrink tubing over the spring??

Might try something actually, trip to the fishing tackle shop tomorrow..
I used to buy lengths of rubber tubing, really small bore which you’d cut to length for attaching pole fishing floats to the line. Wonder if it’s possible to sleeve the spring.
