Cutting a 24" barrel to 18"

question…

i recieved in trade, a 24″ barrel. its already threaded for a TKO style shroud. my rifle is a Condor SS and i’d like to keep it that length… how much would i LOSE… as far as accuracy, when i cut off the choke… thanks.

Been there, done that…. Regretted it. But I had it machined down from the breech side.

You may want to use that 24″ barrel in the future. Save up the “coin” and just buy an 18″ barrel. Not only will you loose the choke, you’ll also have to recrown it after cutting.
