Cutting a 24" barrel to 18"
question…
i recieved in trade, a 24″ barrel. its already threaded for a TKO style shroud. my rifle is a Condor SS and i’d like to keep it that length… how much would i LOSE… as far as accuracy, when i cut off the choke… thanks.

Why even thinking about screwing up a perfectly good barrel?
Do it and then let us know. Once it is cut you just wasted time and money and then you have to buy an 18″ anyway

You may want to use that 24″ barrel in the future. Save up the “coin” and just buy an 18″ barrel. Not only will you loose the choke, you’ll also have to recrown it after cutting.

I’ve read many claim better accuracy when removing the choke so not to sure if it’s that bad of idea???
Just trade it for a proper 18″ or sell it and by an 18″.

Been there, done that…. Regretted it. But I had it machined down from the breech side.
