Q:

major blowback and kickback

OK, got the new CF tank and when I did I put in the condor valve. I have the modded talon hammer and the stock hammer weight in the gun and stock spring. Still when filling the cf tank to 3400 it doesn’t have enough kick to open the valve so hardly any velocity. I have the power spring coming also now and the qcth plus condor modded hammer. So hoping that will get the gun working like it was when setup as a talon. Then when I put in the 28g eu jin pellets the gun is loud as hell and kicks a bunch of air out. It also knocks the power wheel back and exposes the white ring that sits on the wheel. So just wondering because I don’t have the power spring and also the condor hammer is that why this is happening? I would think the talon modded hammer and stock hammer weight would weigh more then the new modded condor hammer. So would this be because of just the spring?

.22 and heavy pellets are notorious for tank dump when you try and push them too hard….

Just shot a light 15g pellet and full tank dump. That’s #3 and with a hand pump these suck Major ASS!!! No idea why it’s doing this??????

Pulled the o ring, set gap to .9 and fired the 28g eunjin’s. Again major noise and the power wheel was pushed back exposing the plastic o ring again. Looks like I’ll need a new one for the pe as this ones getting beat up. Happens every time I shoot these pellets since putting in the condor valve????? Actually pretty bummed out and hope the new stuff stops this. Advice please?

.22 cal with rubber o ring. Had 2 tank dumps with washers. One was .035 and the other is .03 thick. So went back to the rubber washer and it hasn’t dumped a tank again just doing what I posted. Why only with the heavier pellets? Def looking foreword to your qcth, hammer and power spring coming this week. its MUCH louder with the heavier pellets for sure. in the meantime what gap should I have with the condor valve and what thickness of washer while trying to regulate it somewhat?

You are getting partial tank dump…valve is staying open to long.
What caliber?

Tony, actually with the CF tank and having the condor valve and TH I wanted to increase the speed and impact. I wanted to keep the 12″ barrel for the sound lock and the smaller size and weight. I plan on switching out the 12″ for the 24″ barrel and 14″ shroud for country use. Just wondering why it’s knocking the power wheel back and exposing the plastic washers? Only with the heavy pellets also. So again just wondering if the power spring will stop this or why is it happening??

Thanks

Jeff,
What are you trying to accomplish?
Thanks, Tony
