Does it matter how canted the gun is…
Does it matter how canted the gun is If the scopes reticle is lined up with the center of the bore and you use a bubbles level? And if I rotated the barrel 90° and once again lined the reticle up with the bore axis would the accuracy be affected at all? I am not talking POI but pure accuracy as in groups. The bubbles level would be leveled with the reticle of course.

Doesn’t matter if the cant is exactly the same for each short. It should have the same POI and tight group

The POI will be the same if the gun is canted exactly to the same degree with each shot, but only at the same distance if the velocity is consistent. The impact point will change when the distance increases in that the horizontal POI, most especially, will increase dramatically in the direction of the cant. When you shoot a rifle with the reticle aligned to the axis of the barrel and fire it perfectly leveled all the time, you will only see vertical POI variance as the distance increases/decreases with respect to the trajectory of the pellet, scope’s line-of-sight, and gravity.
