Neopod vs Atlas
Wich one would you choose and why?
The Neopod only weighs 82 grams wich is awesome (plus 29g for the picatinny adapter). But the legs can’t go in the 45° angle that the Atlas can

But the USA brand wants 245 dollars for the exact thing,,,, Was it hand built?….
Trust me I am not a Freight Harbor fan,,,,, Fuck no…..
My 45 dollar Atlas bipods flips me out,,, I am in shock and almost feel insulted that some one sell the exact same think for 245 dollars or more….
I fell like I am supporting his BMW car habit.

I would never condemn someone from purchasing what they can afford. Better yet, their choice in dollar cost/value. However, I will respectfully disagree with you by saying “for the exact thing”. I personally own a knock off Atlas that I purchased thinking it was a real one at $230 used. To my surprise and to the sellers as well, once I received it I could instantly tell it was a fake as I own a true Atlas bipod as well! The original owner said it never crossed his mind that it was not authentic. I’m easy and understandable so we then negotiated a deal and I kept it because I seen the value in it. Now, I will say it is in no way machined or built like the original. The biggest difference next to the quality of the materials is the pan/tilt assembly. The real one will not spin 360 degrees and loosen up like the fakes. Not a deal breaker, but if your not paying attention and set your gun down on uneven terrain, it can spin and drop the gun after a long walk through the forest. There is a lot that goes on behind the scenes in producing a quality piece of work such as the Atlas bipods. I know this because I’ve been a CNC mechanic for 17 years for a very large Company. The bullshit I deal with to try and keep machines within tolerance alone warrants the cost of quality…lol
Thanks for that post, the problem with the 360° unscrewing that you explained is One of the worst things about my knockoff

Can you really blame some one that buys a 35 dollar piece of equipment from china , That looks like its worth and cost 35 dollars to build ,

Keep in mind that the Swedish krona is at an all time low and Atlas is overpriced over here

The price is great. Less than a Atlas over here (live in Sweden and neopod is from Norway) but there is a massive flaw.it does not come with an adapter and the adapter is a third of the price…

That’s twice the cost of an Atlas for a plastic bipod. I don’t care how light it is, that’s insane. Had they priced it within reason, they can have a good following since I’m sure you can get a Chinese knockoff soon for $25.
Accu-tac or GG&G. The ultralight ones s/b ok for PCPs but not for HP PB’s IMO. I use them for both. I have two Atlas.
Atlas is Nice but neopod is so lightweight
Cricket are you still unsure on what bipod to buy?? Atlas all the way.

I have a few Atlas. I love them but was looking for a very light weight bipod for a walking varminter gun I have. I got the Javelin. It was ok but I hated that it didn’t fold up. So I got a Neopod. I love the Neopod for this use. Super light and when it is folded up it doesn’t hang low off the gun. It feels very strong and I don’t have any complaints about it. But unless you are trying to save all the weight you can I believe the Atlas is a more versatile bipod. Would I change my Neopod for a Atlas? Not for my use on the gun it is on. But for almost all other situations for me the Atlas would get the nod. And yes the rail adaptor for the Neopod is $135. It all depends on what you want to do with it what bipod to get.
