True ! They opened the place while i was stationed there 🙂
Pizza Hut but no Mac, Burger King NOR Taxi Cabs. I have this funny memory about those Taxi’s: The line for one was endless. Two Cabs arrived the same moment. The waiting line was approx 200m long. The Cab drivers engaged to a fist fight over who was the first in line . Who gave a half fuck – there were customers for at least 150 more Taxies 🙂 🙂

Funny coincidence….I too had just moved there from Lisbon, working for a charter AirColombus, had no Mc-D’s but they did have a Pizza-Hut in Albufeira in some little rinkidink forum :rofl: :8: :rofl:

I could say west of the coastal plains, and east of the desert. or north of the mesquite trees and south of red river.
I’n in Austin (ATX), hill country, pine area just east of here. just need to find consistent places to shoot.
That’s like saying I live in the middle of the USA, Texas is a BIG state,
Sometimes we get small ponds in West Texas when It rains a lot, The rivers is a joke,
I do catch myself going over to the AGN site and looking at there map of all the air gunners in the world, Way cool map.
Maybe we can set up a paypal site and all send in 10 bucks to have Tony make us a map???

I worked not too far from Faro in 1990-1991. Albufeira. It was like coming today’s Angola back then. They just discovered Tourism and there were Tourists allright .. 😉
Unfortunately the infrastructure was from the time of Columbus. The Town of Albufeira had like five Taxi Cab’s and at the time there wasn’t even a Mc Donalds in there ( The Golden Seagull reataurant ). Good times and great memories though 🙂
Lots of Beach Party’s with Beach Bums/ Surfers from around the Globe come to mind .. There may ( or may not ) have been loads of J” Le Cannabis” involved too. Wonder how i grew to be this handsome, quiet , wellmannered and humble person i am. I didn´t turn out like the Uncle anyway, Liberal and part -time Democrat too. Disgusting …

I live in Fairfield California that basically is in the heart of the California Delta Water System . I have hundreds of miles of water shed to fish
and hunt on . When I change the lower unit on my boat from a prop set-up to my jet-drive unit my boat only needs 6 inches of water and I
can get into areas that are filled with critters that have never seen a human being because no one else cares to go into these areas except me .
I consider these areas as my own personal Heaven and I do not share this bliss with anyone except my brother .
