Am I Correct ?
A Talon SS in .25 caliber with a standard Condor valve and standard Condor tank would have the same power as a TalonP but it would have the SS feature, a bigger tank and of course be longer.
Am I correct ?
I’m working on my last Airforce gun for field use. I of course could say to heck with it and just get a Condor SS in .25 … but it is 38″ instead of 32″‘ but it has a 18″ barrel as compared to a 12″ barrel …. decisions, decisions.
What is keeping my price up is that I MUST have a shrouded barrel … muzzle blast is a big issue.
The only other option is to wait for a Talon/Talon SS/Condor SS in 25 caliber to come up for sale and get a good gun at a good price … I’m in no hurry so ? a Talon with shroud would be 38′ long but the shroud is way lighter that the Condor shroud for an 18′ barrel, comparing 18″ to 18″

Edit:
Have my buddies stock Talon and going to test her out with 22 cal JSB Exact Jumbo Heavies18.1gr. If I feel the Talon has the poop for me I may consider it. The problem is I have gotten use to the smack of my Condors and my Careers/Sumatra. The fact that I’m getting a minimum of 25fpe at 75 yards for hunting with the 22 caliber guns give me assurance of a good strong smack at those long shots, and if I do my part a good clean kill, accuracy and energy on target are the key things for me.
I have been spoiled, 25fpe at the muzzle is great, it is not what I’m looking for with my Heavy Duty PCP’s.. The more I shoot these guns the more I get spoiled … I honestly don’t want to spend $$ on guns that are under 50fpe at the muzzle any more. My other guns15-25fpe are cool and great for starlings and such, but nothing compares to a heavy 22 or 25 caliber pellet going out between 850-950 fps for true smashing power. This turns your airgun into a real hunting tool.
The more I write this post the more I’m leaning toward a 25cal Condor SS. As an owner of a 22 version of this gun, I know this gun, and I know I can get a bell curve with a JSB KH around the 875-900 fps range. There is not an varmint in the high desert that that gun won’t take.
I’m still thinking and will be shooting this weekend, but I’m on a mission of serious hunting airguns not backyard plinkers or starling getters … of course accuracy along with power matters ;- )

My Talon SS beast has the 18″ barrel, a TT shroud to keep the peace with the neighbors, Condor tank with R&L valve and will sling 49gr Hunter Supply cast slugs sized properly between 90-100 ft.lbs. It will hold groups nickle size and smaller at 50 from just plain old bags all day, and unless I turn it down it slings JSB KH supersonic. As long as I keep those in the 900-950 range they shoot ragged holes at 50, and I have hit 5″ steel plates all the way out to 165 yards.
