Q:

Ted’s Challenge

Recently, I saw a challenge to all airgun owners on Ted’s Holdover….No More 5-shot groups at 30 yards! Anybody can do that, right? He want’s to see a minimum of 10 shots at distance. OK, fair enough….. I accept the challenge.

Kalibrgun Cricket .25, 50 yards, Exact King Heavy MKI. MidwayUSA/BSA tactical 4x14x44 ffp milrad scope. Off bench on a Caldwell bag with smaller back support bag. Calm winds.

Two targets….

Left Target: 10 shots (1/2″ ctc)
Right target: 12 shots (3/4″ ctc)

This gun stands up against just about any gun, IMHO.
BTW…on the waiting list for an Impact :winkn:
Happy 4th of July everybody!!! kp

I don’t sort either. Load magazines straight from the tin. I lube with Krytech but only to keep the barrel clean longer. I cleaned the barrel and shot two magazines before going for the challenge.

Hi Pippo, I do not sort pellets. I’m loading mags directly from the tin. I though the sorting is providing by JSB factory :fishing:

quote octavius:

My group is not so good as from Drumsguns but is ok I think 🙂
2 groups 14 shots = jsb heavy 18grain at 55 Yards. One square is 5 mm.

Well when I come back from the range with that kind of groups my wife says I have a strange smile on my face 😀

We all know that shooting groups of 10 or more shots is not exactly the same as 3 or 5 shots groups…. :8:

Do you guys sort the pellets?

Cricket….I didn’t hit the bull every time at 150 but several times….maybe 50-55% of the time….. maybe more or maybe less…I was just shooting to see if I could even hit it. But, I was pleased to hit it that many times.kp

Octavius, man I have to disagree with you….looking at the photo I’d say your groups are every bit as good as mine and 14 shots at 55 yards! Perhaps better! Outstanding! I’d be happy with your gun, that’s for sure. :8:

Crickets are accurate :4:

That’s for sure and CZ barrels are hard to beat and don’t have many contenders.

Congrats for your excellent shooting! (Both of you 😀 )

Damn, that is quite a distance. I was out just an hour or so ago and was impressed with myself for hitting a beercan at 100y on my second try 😛 it was very windy and my first shot hit a whole mildot to the left, so I held a mildot to the left and wham!

I got a killstreak of 2 cans at that distance wich I am mighty proud of :fishing:

God afton, Cricket!

Thanks. I have been shooting further and further out with good success. My furthest is 150 yds shooting at a spinner target…but that’s only on the calmest days. Here’s a pic. I only had about an hr to shoot that day so I quickly painted only the center 1″ target, orange. I hit it several times and am happy with that. Wish I had painted the 4 outer tabs to see the pattern. Oh well…I’ll try again soon. The pics are from the actual 150 yd shoot and looking back at my position under the trees.
