Scope rail not level
Is this common finding? I presume that if you can level the scope then its no big deal?

please explain how you use the box method? I use plumb line with torch method as shown in this forum somewhere.
I only trust the box test to level my scopes

You put a Target down range, the Target is supposed to have a cross or a line that is leveled using an accurate bubble level and unable to move around as you hit it. Then shoot a group after leveling your reticle to the cross on the paper.
Click the turrets up, shoot another group. Check the two groups with an accurate bubble level and see if it is a perfect line. If not, your reticle is canted, as seen on the pic above you then turn the scope the way it is canted and try again until you get a perfectly level line no matter how much up or down you dial the turrets.
The only reason to make a complete box is to see if the turrets are repeatable and if the POI is the same after going (as an example) 20 clicks up, 20 clicks right, 20 clicks down and 20 clicks left.
It helps to try and keep the gun level and I usually use the torch method before double checking with this test. A practical test if you will. Even if it is not level the torch method is Good for leveling your scope mounted bubble level.
