Looking pretty good, IMO a lot better looking than the Vulcan tactic

Walnut is not native to Ukraine… and its very expensive… Maple is plentiful…. There is stuff going on behind the scenes.

Fudd i sent you a PM

I prefer real walnut as laminate is on the heavier side. If it’s a bench rest rifle laminate is fine but being a carbine it’s sort of meant as a shorter hunting rifle therefore walnut would be lighter and just as nice.

How about they use that nice laminate wood on their bullpups and they might sell better.

That’s a Beauty!

I been telling Dimitry (taipan) they need to bring out something like this in .22 AND .25….

How do I get in touch with Dimitry to show him this design? Make it 36″ max and he’s going to have a winner!

I like it, that’s one gun I could go for !

quote ElmerFudd:

It definitely needs a cheek riser. They should have used the breech from their rifle and extended the rail and made more barrel/reservoir clearance for a fully shrouded barrel like they’ve done on the carbine. The breech from the rifle is more like a solid block and looks much better than this carbine breech. Kalibrgun has really milked their Cricket breech and needs to improve on the magazine loading switch. Their cocking lever is a bit on the flimsy side too.

Looks like Kalibrgun and Airforce have a lot in common….

they keep releasing the same gun with different clothes…

…You hear it all the time I bought a Mutant and the other guns are collecting dust,
SHORT, LIGHT, = more fun to shoot….

Many many nominations but only one Oscar…

Probably the Mutant Short/Compact is the best candidate for the AWARD WINNING bullpub 😀

Looks nice , and I know same ole same ole,,,,
But you hear very little complaints about the crickets,
Olds school is not really bad, Sometimes its just proven.
I would like to see some super light and powerful PCPs coming out,,,,
Carbon fiber, Titanium, and Aluminum,
1, 2, or 3 lb guns, I know it can be done.
Better, Lighter, stronger and more powerful, I would pay an extra 500 dollars for a 3 lb. Cricket,

I say KG needs to get some new ideas soon if they want to stay in the game. Like you said, same cocking lever wich indicates same insides. Same same same with possible minor updates. If I owned KG I would ditch the Cricket entirely and build a new gun after what the customers want. IMO the makers of any brand should go on forums and ask just what they want and what they don’t want. :2cents:

It is nice, I must say. In my opinion, however, it still fails to offer the advantages that the Vulcan Tactic has over it such as a switchable cocking lever and an adjustable cheek-rest and butt, just looking at the photos. Kalibrgun also could’ve gone a step further with an accessory rail underneath the forestock. It also seems that the company has chosen to stay with the cocking mechanism as featured on its current line of rifles.

As per the photo, I don’t like the way the barrel is mounted onto the receiver. I think that if the designers found a way to keep the same design as on the Cricket bullpup or the Vulcan Tactical–midpoint of the barrel for a more rock solid mount–it would be a winner.

The aforementioned statements are based on my opinion. Others will disagree with it, of course. :winkn: Now, if the price of the gun were significantly lower than that of its competition (loaded with the features I stated above) then that would be the great equalizer. :smilen:
