Got a Regulator Tester
Got a regulator tester from @dman1114
Very well finished. He also made a tool to pull the regulator out of the airtube so that I won’t need to remove the guage to push the regulator out.
Tester works for both fx and Vulcan regulators.

Can someone post a link to the Ed chrono website or info?
i tested this one time for only one shot ,,, there was only 1 FPS difference between them ,,, i use Pro-Chronograph … i have Magneto V3 as well,,, but it reads error ,, one of the Lebanese guy advised me how to use it ,,i will try it inshallah …
Looking forward to a comparison. I have a Caldwell chronograph which is damn good, no errors. Will compare the Ed chrono once it is here.

Very nice. Is there any difference in the velocity shown by Ed chrony and your other chronograph?

Believe me the Edgun chrony is really handy and very good tool,,,you can shot to wherever you like and see the velocity at the same time ,,, before i use to stay until i get time on weekends at the daylights in order to use my Pro-Chrony ,,,now,,,i set my two matadors within nights and shooting through the windows to the empty area around my hose ,,, no error at all … one of my best tools that i like it …i will take it for my hunting trip also … :8: :8:

since your Vulcan is new,,,i prefer you enjoy with shooting/hunting and target practices ,,,let the gun break ,,,then check the gun after 3k or 4k shots ,,,if you see the ES is still 15FPS … then i prefer you check the reg set and clean the parts ,,, i set my Edgun reg correctly to 130 bar ,,i checked the speed with my Edgun chrony ,,,you don’t believe ,,, the shots were like this ; 906 , 908 , 906, 907, 909 , 913, 907, 910, 906, 908, …i was really surprised ….

Btw, wich gun do you prefer, the Wildcat or the Vulcan?
It will be a bit early to compare as Vulcan I have just got.
Still I can say that I like the smooth functionality of the Wildcat. Also the out of the box performance of Wilcat was better. On very first testing it gave me a max apread of 10 fps with std deviation of 2. It consumes around 2 bars per shot. Is much quiet. But it is a delicate gun and looses the zero quite often. Also have replaced the Regulator o-rings twice for leaking.
Vulcan feel much more like a Tank. It is more compact and easy to handle. Not as smooth. Have had 2 outings so far with it and it was flawless. Max spread is around 15 fps which as per Hemn, and I agree, is a bit more than expected. Standard deviation is 4.5 fps. Consumes around 3 or more bars per shot. Is louder. I hope it will settle properly with time.
Both guns are more accurate then I am. They perform equally well. Personally I like the Vulcan more for compactness and handling.

my friends .30cal Edgun wont shot more than 860 FPS after installing the new reg with 3mm valve,,, i tried too much with HST ,,,but no use ,,, later i decided to check the reg parts,,,no thing wrong,,,then checked the pressure with the tester ,, i saw the gauge is reading about 200 bar or more,,, i thought the reg is set toooo high ,,,so i turned off,,, nothing happen still reading +200 bar ,,,turned off ,,,turned off ,,again and again,,nothing happened ,,still +200 bar … so,,i decided to use my own regulators which i have 2 spares … i set it to 150bar and installed,,,then checked the speed,,,directly 900 FPS …i turned down to 885 FPS … so,,i became to know that the reg is not working with helping the testers … that is why we need to have one …

Yes that is exactly why I got it. Since I have a Fx wildcat and now a Vulcan so this tester will let me test and set the regulators of both the guns. Otherwise without a tester it’s a game of hit or miss. Jaime tester is very well made. One thing that I would suggest is to use lower pressure gauge i.e. a 200 bars gauge because I don’t think any regulator is set to that pressure. With a 350 bars gauge the lines are too close and it is a bit difficult to know the exact setting where the needle is. With a 200 bar gauge the lines are a bit far apart which makes it easier to read the exact position of the needle.
Jaime,,, this is what i do now, but at the time, i forgot to ask you to make the tool for me,,,,i remember it only when i received the tester … 😛 😛 no worries,,, i used the testers and they are incredibly useful ,,,the reg tester is the right tool that every PCP owner must have it … why?? i will tell you…

I normally use a Pair of Needle nose PLiars with some tape on the ends… that way it don’t bugger up the regulator
