Regulator settings (and a couple of questions about the 22 cal R3M)
I have had a 25 cal EDgun for a year and love it. I just recently purchased a 22 cal Matador R3M. I know that the 25 cal R3M’s reg had 130 written on it. But since I don’t want to disassemble a freshly assembled brand new EDgun, could y’all tell me what the .22 cal R3M Standard’s reg is set at?
I’d appreciate it.
One more thing….I set my HST to attain a muzzle velocity of 955 (during a string, it would went as high as 962 fps) so I backed off the HST a little less than a quarter turn. I am right at 950 fps (all of this with 18.1 gr Exacts….lubed with Prolix after cleaning). I also thoroughly cleaned the bore. Squirrel season is opening in about two weeks and I want to get this feller ready to do some head shootin. The pellets that I am speaking aout are from old stock tins with the white label and black writing. The skirts are very thin. I don’t really know why I added that…..just trying to be thorough. I appreciate all of the guys who own and shoot the Matador R3M Standard. My newer 22 is a bit different than my 25 cal Standard….as the 22 has the new fill protector that screws on (which I like a lot better than the Crickets that I have owned due to the Crickets having a guillotine-type effect unless the spring is clipped back a bit. Here I go confusing everything. Anyway, thanks for any and all input. :smilen: Kevin
PS: What is the optimal velocity for accuracy with the 18.1 gr Exacts? 930? It varies? Thanks

Thank you, guys!!! Mine is shooting extremely accurate!!!!! I am very happy with it. It is amazing how accurate these Matadors are!!! I purchased a 25 cal R3M Standard last year and it places a pellet exactly where the crosshairs are placed…..when the wind is manageable.
