undocking the Mutant

Can the Mutant be uncocked if you load a pellet and don’t take a shot?

You’ll only double load if the magazine is in….

Now… If you had three hands. Hold the MAGAZINE.. hold the lever back and let the hammer back easy… the mag wont rotate and will stay in that position. when you go to cock it you will need to hold the mag so it doesn’t move to the next pellet. and when you close the probe you can let go of the mag and you wont double load.

I have been studying the mechanism trying to fig out a way to implement a magazine stopper but I’m not having any luck.

yes it will when using the magizine. But it’s not a problem when using the single shot adapter.

You will if the magazine is still in there. I mainly do this with the single feed tray. I load a pellet, and de-cock while waiting for a critter. Once a pest shows up, simply re-cock, safety off and boom.

That’s how I fine tuned my trigger pull and release.

A little hint…if the gun doesn’t cock unless you pull it as far back as humanly possible, turn your HST slightly counter-clockwise. That permitted the sear to cock a bit earlier in the cocking sequence.

Yup just grab the side lever pull it back all the way holding it back pull the trigger and slowly let the lever go back forward.
