Q:

I just read a new owner’s 1st impression of the Huben K1

here: http://www.network54.com/Forum/79537/thread/1471300243/last-1471315392/Expand+Thread This gun may not be the end-all-do-all, but maybe the airgun would be an interesting addition to someone’s collection. I think I’d like one because of the power-adjusting features, semi-auto cycling, close-in accuracy as shown by the owner, the shot count with a 200 bar fill (versus 300 bar max; I can’t support that sort of fill pressure) and shot count at 200 bar. Anyway, the impression of the owner is an optimistic one, and that’s a good thing imo.

Hemn, focus, please. The conversation is about the Huben K1. :smilen:
So far the gun discussed on the Yellow has a few issues with accuracy, and that’s with the new barrel. Might be a pellet head diameter issue. Might be the barrel crown. Or any number of things. Anyway, it’s still the same old issue; relatively accurate close in (20 yards) but lacking out at 50 yards.Oh well. :sadn:

My Bro…so what else is there if i have the accuracy issue with my guns??

if you put points for your guns, you should put 7 for accuracy out of 10, 1 for shot count, 1 for size, 1 for stock,

in fact Huben has a good features ,,i am telling this ,,, but accuracy problem is one of the biggest issues for guns

OK. Perhaps I misunderstood. Yes?

before read review of Huben, i was one of the fan, but after that and trying different PCPs,… i become to understand my Matadors are the best choice for me and the situation i live in, since i moved from my X-place i don’t try grouping on papers i only sight my scopes at 70 mtr then bring down to 40 mtr then go to hunt, im quite satisfied with my Matadors, due to those issues i decided to not think about the Huben anymore … here is my thread just go through it quickly to see the my groups when i first time received my Edgun .22cal Long version … but my STD and Short can achieve better grouping ….

I have to correct myself on the barrel twist rate. That refers to a barrel made by an European gun dealer to replace the OEM barrel in the K1. The new barrel has the new twist rate I mentioned. I don’t know what MrodAir’s newly spec’d barrel is with regards to changing it from the OEM one I’ve read about (concerning it’s poor accuracy).
Darryl

Cool, don’t know much about spin rates, just voicing my opinion is all.

The gun is a Cricket Compact .22

Mike says the barrel likes the speed of 1000 fps or so, but I see your point, Cricket. It seems a known given that the 18 grain Jumbo Heavy seems to fly more accurately at the speed you mention (not counting an Edgun barrel maybe?). Anyway the results should be interesting. I think the new barrel twist was changed from 17:1 to 16:1, or something like that.
Darryl
PS what gun gave you the .33 c-t-c with the Jumbo Heavy?

ok, I’m on it! :biggrinn:

Oh, and I was able to shoot a .33″ ctc group with them at that speed, although more commonly .45″

At 58 yards 😉

The 18gr has better BC at that speed

Cricket,
i don’t mind asking him to dial down the speed, but what reason should I give? Does it have to do with optimum speed for best accuracy?
thanks,
Darryl

Tell him to dial down to 880 fps with 18gr and try 50y again
