Q:

The Priest …. it is a new BP .. plz welcome to the new BP

Guys…i just received details from a friend from Slovenia…there is a new BP made in Slovenia which i see there are many similarities between this Priest Rifle and FX Impact…starting from the general design goes to almost all other features…here is the like ..plz share your feelings…and opinions

Edit: BTW: the price of the Priest is almost a half price of Impact
… i think this is a better choice between FX and Priest… since they are using CZ 450mm barrel…

Sound like a good price on the new gun.
Does anyone know of a test anywhere with this gun?
Somebody has had to test it for R&L to order them?
Mike

This Guy has been sent a gun with .177 .22 .25 and .30 to test https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC7YKBPg7Zv3B5JPbAar35qA/videos

The .30 is not listed on the site because they are still Developing the Magazine and what not.

I did not think about the scope swap actually. With a nice one piece scope mount that could totally work

To be honest, I don’t see the apeal of switching calibers. Sounds lika a pain in the ass to rezero your scope every time and what not.

Swap barrel and scope, it’s picatinny/weaver style rail so zero won’t change much. Actually I have two different caliber barrels for my Viking and I’ve been using the .22 for the past four years, go figure.

I per-ordered one in .25 today.

if i were you, i would order the different caliber barrels … because one of the best feature of this gun is ability to switch the barrels between all the calibers … so, don’t lose this feature …

I per-ordered one in .25 today.

Cool!

We have an order of “The Priest” placed with RTI Arms!!! We’re excited to receive our shipment as this looks to be a very promising AG. If anybody is interested in pre ordering give us a call. All we would require is $100 down, what caliber you would want and what color (Black or Olive Drab). The price will be $1130.95 shipped.

really beautiful gun
i like it
i hope it will be accurate and reliable (but it seem very simple so it could not be a problem for this point

i sent them email. will try to get it and test

Sweet, it would be great for their business if someone on the forum got to test one and give some real life results to us, if the results are good of course

quote ElmerFudd:

It has potential but I’ll be brutally honest here. The way the bottle is attached looks too weak and is a problem waiting to happen. An aluminum bottle is definitely not as light as a CF one however reduces cost but the way it’s threaded into the trigger guard looks poorly designed. At least on the FX Impact it looks more secure and being a lighter bottle means less stress on those threads. I also get the idea of being able to tether the bottle with a foster fitting but I don’t know why more manufacturers can’t implement the fill probe concept.

The buttpad or lack of one needs to be addressed.

I can’t tell if the magazine is the spring loaded type or not but more manufacturers need to get away from the spring loaded type. And if it’s not spring loaded, I don’t see the need for the extra casing? It just makes it harder to load pellets.

Sorry but I’ll have to disagree on all those things. I have a Sniper X2 which shares all those features and I have no problems with them. That is a PB bottle and they work in PB guns so why not in this application? It would be better if the shoulder met the breech actually but that can be fixed with a washer – although that should be fixed in the design. A straight buttpad, again no problem for me – works fine at 270 fpe. Spring loaded magazines, with lever operated ones there has been roughly equal amount of issues with the claw getting worn or bent or slipping. It has more to do with the actual design and implementation of the magazine rather than the principle of operation.

What I find negative is the non-standard thread on the barrel and the shroud is rather small in diameter. It would be easy to drop the bottle down a bit more and fit a fat 30+mm fully functional shroud in there.

The pullback bolt on the left side is nice, something that Colibri owners seem to love.

I really wish someone would buy it and review it. Looks interesting and many different colour options

A tethered bottle for stable bench shooting is one thing. Imagine that fill whip coming loose in the field and smacking you on the backside of the skull w/4,000+ psi. nope-don’t need it. Too much brush, vines out here.

Fudd , you need to keep an open mind on wild game shooting , a lot of wild game shooting is not done in heavy brush areas where
the gun is going to be snagged by bushes or trees , like I said shooting wild game from my boat in 6 inches of water is not going to
get snagged . Now for the 8 lb. balanced gun in the open field is good and I won’t bitch , However , a gun that is perfectly secured
to a shooting platform regardless if it weights 3 lbs. or a 100 lbs. will still be just as accurate in shooting as any other gun . Some-
times you have to be open minded about other shooting options besides of the type of shooting that one is usually accustomed too .
Not all wild game shooting fall into the same shooting platform , you have wooded shooting areas , water shooting areas ,desert
shooting ares , excetra , excertra . This Tethered Shooting wild game style under certain shooting conditions will have its’ place in
shooting wild game . Innovation of new shooting concepts is what makes the sport of shooting so wonderful and great . :8: :8: :8:
