Big Shout Out to Tony, Doug, Dave and the Talon Community!!

These Guys were great to work with and extremely helpful thru the build. I ordered the talonp from tony and a week later I had a brand new decked out TT tuned Bad MF ready to go!!

The gun is currently tuned for 825Fps with jsb .25, with med insert and power setting around 8.

I plan to take it to the range tmrw for the first time. Im going to be running the air venturi 90cu tank regulated to 2900psi remotely. I got a great deal on a 18in barrel so i will be upgrading next week. From the measurements I took it should be only sticking out about an inch neatly tucked behind the 9in tt shroud. Any tips for current setup and future 18in barrel upgrade would be appreciated!! I’m not looking to blow anything away just run consistent and efficient as possible!!

Quality Wise the parts I purchased for this built were all on point. The stock fits like a glove and the action movement is very smooth from the microlite kit. The shroud is Very beefy and well built as well.

One thing I noticed that I thought of after the fact was venting the frame. I should of waited as the Mircolite barrel extension is also vented between the bushing. I think it allows for to much air in this section combining the two. As the gun is very loud when shot inside with cleaning pellets. Feedback would be appreciated on this.

Its going to be a mute point come next week anyways at the 18 inch upgrade will block the microlite baffle.

So let me know what you guys think!!

Eric

I have a MADDOG ultimate stock on my Talon SS and as far as I’am concerned so far this is the best stock for this gun . When I first saw
this stock I wondered why AIRFORCE never came up with a better stock for their guns to prevent flex . To me somewhere they lost
the ability to improve their product and just said Fuck It and stay with their same old format of stock style and sell their product as
is and just say well here it is hope you like it as is .

FROM : THE BIRDMAN

I finally got the gun dialed in on the crony. Running an 18 in barrel jsb heavy. Level 4-5 on the wheel shooting 940-960 fps.

Shot groups were much better than in the past. Finally took it out 100 yards and was consistently shooting quarter size targets. I’m very please with the performance and accuracy now.

Running tt tophat no insert with oring spread was within 30 fps max and mostly 15-20ish.

Thanks for the tips!! Dave is actually sending me an o-ring to try so I’m def on that. Can the shroud affect accuracy?

That’s a good start, but the gun is capable of a lot better accuracy. When you get your 18” barrel installed Next time your at the range try
turning everything back a bit. PW 2-4, reg pressure 2500-2700; no insert in the TTtop hat and Oring behind and shoot unshrouded till your accuracy improves then mount your shroud check for any poi changes.
Even shooting regulated you want just enough air to efficiently launch the pellet.
Once you get things dialed in you should get 1/4” groups at 25yards and under an inch or better at 50.

I should add that if Tony Physically tuned the gun for an unregulated shot string then forget most of what I wrote and dont touch anything 😐

So I went to the range today and wow never seen so many ar-15’s in my life however everyone was asking me about what is was that i was shooting. lol

25 yard grouping was on point with jsb 25g 50 yards was a bit of a struggle to dial-in but was getting them with-in 2 inches mind u I never really did long range shooting before. All in all I was very happy with performance, reliability and efficiency. I used the air venturi 90cu cf tank remote lined regulated @ 2900 psi so every shot had the same pressure. Started with a full tank and the bottle was filled to 4300psi. Shot 150 rounds and the bottle was still at 3600psi when I left so plenty of room for another 150+ shots.

Both Doug and Dave were emailing last night and today with some helpful tips which was great.

I’m going back next week with an 18 inch 12mm barrel and a crony to get really dialed in. Any thoughts on what power level and tophat insert to run????

Any feedback or tips would be awesome!!

Thanks!!
