Half Mile Shooting-.257-Video
Hi all,
Been awhile since posting and I have been shooting a LOT. This vid is with my first barrel I started the spring with and think is last I shot it before the newest one has taken over?
Similar to the 800 yd vid already posted. BUT it is 80 yds further, 880 yds to be exact and that is HALF MILE. I DID IT TWICE. My camera was back from repair and I broke the 3 Two Liter bottles that day and NO RECORDING??? Wasted day and 140 mile trip…..2 days later did it all again and is on video at link……So I can repeat what I do and isn’t a one off fluke. My next video’s with NEWEST barrel bare this out at distances of last year and beyond.
WARNING, I am NOT a VIDEOGRAPHER :suprisedn: ……Some persons recording their stuff is near professional quality and is great. I am a shooter…Have a pocket camera I put on tripod at the target to see hits. From the scope I can NOT SEE HITS on target if it is steel. See dust of misses, and if soda explodes. I try and show just how far the distance shot is for perspective. Then I have a cheap $35 piece of software to cut out all the driving back and forth with camera running to make a few hits not a TOTAL BORING EXPERIENCE. I do the shooting for fun and record what happens, so my video’s don’t match up to the ones doing very good work, but their shooting is no where near the distance I am at, so all is good 😉
Watch the misses….That bottle is 13″ high….Imagine another bottle height either low or high and most of the shots are near a bottle height ……..some are very close…….But this is and AIRGUN at HALF MILE and is not my F-Class 6mm Dasher or 6.5mm Creedmoor, but I wouldn’t stand down there for sure :winkn:

Barrel is 34″ long. 92 gr Noble LFN bullets, at 1000 fps from 3700 psi. My newest barrel does 15 fps faster with 200 psi LESS and is sweet.
Comments Welcome………………..Carl

I dream of getting this barrel for my condor. Right now I am enjoying long distance plinking with my Texan. I would love to get a .308 or 9mm barrel for it oneday. My condor has a 9mm barrel but I like how you can get 1km targets with .257. How’s the accuracy with 65 grain bullets?
