Ataman pistol
What happened ,
Did anyone get there pistol and try it out a little?
Does anyone that owns a Ataman have any thoughts on it?
All this silence is not a good sign,
Mike

Thanks never even looked at one , Will check it out.
On a pistol I just need open sites, Most of my shots will be at 30 Yards and max at 48 yards ,
I will check PA out and see about the 1701 P
Thanks
Mike
Its not a good sign when there are no reports coming in and the gun is released.
Back to looking at the china guns for me, It just pisses me off no open sites,
Mike
Have you considered the Crosman 1701P/Silhouette? All you need to add is the rear sight and the total still comes in less than $400. They are, pistol size, super accurate, great trigger and can be turned up to get decent weight pellets into the 700fps range.
good going Mp44

It seems the Pistol may have also been rushed a little and its a DUD!
sure glad I did not put my deposit down.

When there were no reviews after people started getting them in their hands I canceled my order and bought an FWB 65. Glad I did.
It seems the Ataman Pistol is the only PCP pistol that comes with open sites.
My 35 dollars P17 -177 can hit a coke can at 30 yards with open sites,
I been hearing some pretty bad things of manufacturing control on the rifles,

anyone seen any post that have bought an ataman pistol and posted on how it shoots , trigger, magazine works?
I have seen some post of ordered guns , But that’s it nothing more,
To me that’s not a good sign.

Dear “Mike Mike”,
If Ataman comes out with a derringer version of their Ataman pistol….would it be called the “Attaboy”???
Hoot:
I agree 200 FPS drop is a big drop between 177 and 22, I am sure we can get the 22 shooting in the 700 FPS range, I hope..
Hoot,
Yes West Texas is a little different, We have a bus system in town, No cars or vehicles in city limits, Only horses, We all carry guns except in bars and some exempt places, We all wear cowboy hats and boots as the shit gets deep some times,
Funny laws here to, You can not have any kind of BB or Pellet gun on you or around you after dark, But you can open carry any firearm or concealed carry any fire arm, with you. Pretty crazy.

PLEASE enlighten me if I am wrong.

Dear Mike,
Being from West Texas, you may well be full of shit…however your comment regarding the flat trajectory .22 Cricket is correct and accurate!
There was a time, back in the springer era, when .177 was the only way to go given it’s superior FPS and flat trajectory. But back then a 700 fps .22 caliber was considered a “magnum”. Times have changed, as have pellets, power, barrels, and craftsmanship.
Kind regards,
Uncle Hoot:
PS: Factoid…why Mike stopped going out with East Texas women…..
This brings me back in my intro into PCPs , Been a 177 shooter for 40 years, But the guys in the know told me with the faster speeds the 177 flatter trajectory is out the window!!!! All my PCPs are 22 and 25 cal, OOPS all my pistols P17 and Tempest are 177, But I had them long before I got into PCPs, but they are not PCP guns! I have had to fight the need for a 177 compact Cricket when my 22 cricket shoots just as flat trajectory,,,,
PLEASE enlighten me if I am wrong.
