Edgun Matador: Walnut vs Soft Touch ?
Gentlemen,
My name is Mike. I have owned a Veles in .22 a my first Edgun, and put a Leupold 4×28 on it. Loved it as a pistol, but decided that pistols should be light ánd have open sights. Veles did not so sold it. Also own a R3 in .22 with hagan adapter and Hogan Heavy Decimator, which makes it quite quiet … :geekn:
Now I love the R3 and want to get a R3M long in .25. I want the sturdiest stock possible.
I have read the Edgun Soft Touch stocks are beech wood, and that beech stocks are denser, heavier and stronger than Walnut…
Thats what I have read, but who has actual practical knowledge of both stocks recently??
Tx for the input!
Regards, Mike

The very first shipments of Edguns we’ve got back in 2009 were painted stocks, later production switched to Walnut, recently soft touch is not common, mostly nice Walnut.
