Keeping up with the jones
Hey fellas what it do ya’ll! I’m finally posting instead of trolling you guys reading all your posts. I truly enjoy this forum I personally think its the best. I read last night on AGN where this guy called you guys a biker bar that’s full of really good information but to harsh of attitudes. He said that he can only read this forum sparingly because you guys are to harsh. Well if you guys are bad what do call that BS of an “supposed to be” un-biased site AGN. I swear not all the guys act that way over there but some of the moderators are square ass prudes! Sorry if I may have offended anyone this being my first post and all.
Enough about that sometimes I can get on my soap box about stuff that I’m passionate about. Anyways I just came into the PCP AG world last year and for the longest all I had was a P-rod that I modded out (double tube power tune stuff like that). Well I wanted to play with the big boys so hiding the whole purchase from dear old wife I jumped on a Vulcan .25 SS from Tony. Well as Tony called it the Vulcan is the “Ferrari” of the AG world hands down. Debate it if you want but name off five bullpups line them up new fresh still in the box open the boxes then ask random people who’s the prettiest? They’ll say Vulcan. Take them out of the boxes load them up sight them in(no don’t sight them in) then send a group of five shots down the line at fifty yards depending on the shooter you may not see but two or three different holes in the paper. Now sight them in. Now don’t get me wrong I’m only giving it this kind of praise because to spend that kind of money I think it only makes since to get a “total package” gun that you can take in the field right when you get it, you smell the funk I’m putting down?
As soon as I can figure this thing out I’ll post pics of my rig.
The only mods I’ve done to it was the side lever mod and I threw on an LDC from Tony (try to achieve the mouse fart sound level). If you have a Vulcan and you don’t really enjoy the “knob”pull handle and the roughness cocking the gun well this is the way to go. Made the gun ten times better to me. I only wish they made in .30cal at least the tactic. I wish I could be like some of you rich old guys that just buy on the fly this has to be a well planned out thing for me. I’m looking at the WARP .30cal right now but the wife is monitoring me very closely with this hobby so anything more than a tin of pellets I can expect domestic abuse when she finds out. You guys will see headlines on the news on how small pretty 135lb white women beat and made 6’2” 250lb black man sleep outside with in the dog house and let the dog come in.

G I’ll tell you why it got yanked. That post wasn’t just about Peter and Steve Smith. It implied that Randy from R&L had something to do with the nefarious actions of those two fools. I knew Peter very well. I warned him to stay away from Steve, but we all know the outcome now. Tony has a free speech board but I agree with his decision to pull that post because it was totally unfair to Randy.
Very nice set up and the fat boy does look good, looking forward to getting my stuff in a couple of weeks. Also to be fair, a post i put up about two weeks ago got pulled down and no message or reason why about those guy in trouble with the law over airgun stuff (Petr and another guy) in an effort to explain why people couldn’t reach them and what was happening in our community and it got the axe in less than an hour. But life goes on. Karma.
Nice looking rig. I’ve been wanting one of those for a while. Maybe Santa will bring it….. 😛
How’s the sound level between the two different moderators? Is either one noticeably quieter?

I talked about the fat boy over on AGN and even posted a picture on my 22 shorty Mutant, But I was unable to post anything about Donny and where to buy the Fat boy at.
I am sure if someone put a Fat Boy on a FX gun you could post Donny’s site up ????

For what I shoot I have had no issues with my UTG’s. I’m not hunting with them or going to any pinky high club either. 😉
Speaking of pinky high reminds me of hanging out at AGN or maybe they should change it to FXN.

So I know these are horrible pictures but this will get better and I was at a park so the lighting was crude.
Any ideas how I could customize my rig?
Of by the way my feelings about the Vulcan ate my own I don’t expect others to feel so deeply about it, I mean I felt the same way about my p-rod.
Oh and the scope is a UTG 3-16x 44 don’t know much about scopes what would you guys suggest?
The moderation is a bit OTT on AGN forum. It reminds me of candlepower forums (I’m sure some of you will know about the leader over there?)
It’s only a success because of one person, but it does seem rather dictator lead now.
The thread that got closed about the CZ barrel was just pathetic to do IMO. The worst bit about it was the video posted wasn’t even impressive so they could have highlighted that instead they close it like some protection against FX and make it appear like a cover up when it was just a regular thread.

AGN could have been great, and I was naive enough to think that it had changed. But after two of my posts got deleted and one edited by moderators I realized it is still the same bullshit dictatorship that calls itself a “forum”. If you want real world information TAG is truly the ONLY place when it comes to bullpups. Or at least the best place.
Welcome aboard! You can post pics in a number of different ways, postimage.org, photobucket or by attaching the photo under Attachments below the submit button. For photobucket you need to copy the “IMG” link. You’ll figure it out 😉 Can’t wait to see some pics of your setup, what kind of scope are you using?

A future gun 😉 I think I might mod my Cricket shroud and put it on there though, if I like it I might buy another one if possible so I can keep the fatboy on the Cricket when I get my next gun.
