What is your favorite scope reticle
Just as the post subject says.
What is your favorite scope reticle, what do you like about it, to not like. What would be your perfect reticle?

My favorite is this reticle:
The scope is Nikko Stirling Nighteater 6-24×56 FT reticle.

The picture is very clear if you look through the scope even on 24x magnification, unfortunately I used to take pictures Seben DKA II, which is not so accurate.
I also love MQ reticle from my SWFA SS 12×42.
That is because you need a better turret. Firing solutions will be dialed quickly with the proper turret. That was my point.
I’ve been playing around with both methods, but my kill rate declines when it takes me more time to dial in with the turrets.
Either I need to invest more time into practicing or I need some way to tell/train my kills to wait up a bit. :biggrinn:

I like a simple 1/2-MIL or 1/4 Mil value for the reticle. The horus is too busy and hard to see throughI think too much emphasis is being placed on reticles by scope manufacturers today. The market is saturated, and as a result, every scope company is trying to grab the market with the latest and greatest reticle for holdover. The truth is at long range when the marksman needs a particular dope the most accurate method is to spin the turret. I would like more attention paid to the turret values rather than the reticle. Things like true zero stop, tracking and multiple turret values make the shooter’s job that much easier. My favorite turret thus far is the Steiner T5XI (even this one isn’t perfect)

ow hea … .. . well it depends on ones use/application but try and use something like this for hunting in the sticks ……. …… .. . for FT maybe ?

IMO the SWFA milquad reticle above are one of the best and fastest for use in hunting/pesting.

It’s no more than a standard mildot, just more holdover values and Diamond rather than dots.

Mildot all the way. Makes holdover and windage easy to correct for. Some scopes only have 4-5 dot each way. I have a couple with 9 & 10. Make it more precise for me. Hawke 1/2 mil dot is very nice.
standard mil dot. SFP works for the ranges I use My condor at.(less than 110 Y) Target sizing is not a real big deal for Me shooting prairedogs I know how big they are and normally have a good idea about how far the distances are.

I have three Hawke Tac’s with the 20X 1/2Mil and the Mil Quad on a 16X42 SWFA. I like that the Hawke reticle is designed and etched while at a 20X magnification. It really unclutters the reticle and allows for some extra pinpointing of in between yardages. The Mil Quad is similar but based on a 10X build.
