Q:

Cricket .22 – how to increase reg. pressure

Below theoretically ( on the right ) – arrangement disc springs – for increasing pressure in regulator. I use at 125 Bar.
On the left – factory arrangement.

quote octavius:

For who is good pressure 170bar ? :biggrinn:

At stack “<<>>” and 130 Bar springs can to have ~ max deflection, but at “<<<>>>” 2/3.

For who is good pressure 170bar ? :biggrinn:

To increase the reg pressure just add an extra one on the end in ((( comfig leaving all else factory, making a 17 disc setup used in most Cricket 25 and 177 cals.

basically the regulator piston needs to have a certain “strike” lenght and force.

if you do this (())() you basically have a non linear spring, i.e.
2 springs in serial connection, () will flatten fast, and if you compress the stack more (()) will deform the stronger spring too, over time the weak spring will deform permanently possibly so it will only act like a washer… if you stack (((((( too many it acts like a washer too

you can have the same force /compression from one weak spring compressed a lot or a stronger spring compressed a bit.

whatever works for you is best. sometimes people use stronger fatter disks and keep their configuration/number
you still screw in the adjuster to give a certain force.

is turning the reg adjuster anticlockwise is not doing the job? why did you have to rearrange the disks?
