Taipan Mutant and FatBoy LDC
So this showed up this afternoon!! Even though the Mutant is the quietest PCP I own, this thing really makes it mouse fart quiet. It looks like something out of the “No country for Old men” movie…. It makes a ‘phuuuut’ sound now

The good thing is, you can play around with the internals and try different scenarios. If you need shorter mesh, use plastic hair curlers and cut them to length, then wrap felt around it.
I tried the FatBoy on my .25 Vulcan too and it was quieter, but not as quiet as with the Weihrauch .25 LDC which surprised me. I thought the FatBoy had more internal volume. In my opinion, the fatboy could be improved by spacing the baffles like the weihrauch with the smaller space in the middle and the larger spaces at either end of the LDC. So I might play around with the baffle washer spacing to see if it makes a difference…

Yeah, wow, I just installed the same setup tonight on my Mutant Standard. It’s stupid quiet. I thought it was quiet before without the LDC. The hammer hitting the valve is WAY louder than the rapport of the rifle. Crazy. Thanks again Donny, you make an awesome LDC!
Looks great pwr2all! Fatboy takes it to the next level of quietness. I tell people all the time that even if I am in the open field, I still prefer to shoot with an LDC. Sounds awesome and your ears will thank you.
