Q:

Should I buy this brand new Colibri? (pic)

Pic below

Or is it a bad Idea? With new I mean not fired since production.

Kalibrgun posted some CAD pics on instagram of a bullpup that could be the colibri replacement. The wait might be over soon! :8:

I would have something like that delivered straight to Earnest if he still works on them.

That’s exactly what I would do,….if I was in the marchet for a Colibri

I don’t know about airguns from Italy but I just bought a load of motorcycle accessories from Italy at 60% shipped what it would have cost me here in the US and it took 6 business days Fed Ex to get here.

I would have something like that delivered straight to Earnest if he still works on them.

As far as I know it goes like this..

A few pre production models exist which are shorter than the production models and were semi auto.

MK1 production model is longer and has 8 digit serial no. it also has the semi auto internals in the shroud but they are not operational/connected and has an adjustable indexing arm. Available in silver (and the finish is another complaint by the way) black and walnut.

MK2 model has 4 digit serial, is same physical size as mk1 but has none of the semi auto internals in the shroud, a fixed indexing arm and is very reliable. Not available in silver finish.

Never heard of a mk3?

I checked my emails and it was this time last year I emailed all the eu dealers, a few had stock inc the one there.

8 digit serial is mk1, mk2 has 4 digit serial.

I thought this One was a Mk3? It has 8 digital Serial Number and updated stock

Wow, they still have them!!

I emailed them months ago and they had a few left but they are mk1 models.

Mk1’s are not for people who just want to shoot and not maintain. They are ok if you’ve got half a brain but the indexing arm is adjustable and can come loose or be set incorrectly and a lot of people throw their toys out of the pram and call them rubbish because of this.

The mk2 I have has a fixed indexing arm and mine had been faultless! Absolutely superb gun. In fact I don’t think I’ve seen any complaints about the MK2.. may be another reason why I never see MK2’s for sale and I’ve been offered way more to sell than mine cost me.

Reason I’ve seen that before is because I emailed every reseller of the Colibri from Kalibrguns world map and found all the ones left across Europe. There were a few about but all MK1 models.

Incidentally the Italian one shown there will have something extra engraved on the side. Can’t recall for sure what it was but think it might have been an extra serial number and 7.5J or something for their laws over there.

The seller was very helpful but they even need permission from their police force to ship the gun out.

That’s italy if you’re wondering

That’s the thing, I’m not in the US. This thing as Little to no resale value where I come from. But if someone wants it you can email info@dalbalcon.it

Buy the darn thing now !!!!!!!
……can always sell it as a collectible if it doesn’t work for you, ton of people here in the US that would jump on that gun.

No picture just a blue box with question mark.
