Q:

Komptec in North America

One post as an introduction to Komptec.

Komptec manufactures HPA compressors in Germany. The roots go back decades. Our KT-90 is a 3.2 CFM compressor at 4500 psi with a 3HP 230V motor, and the KT-70 is a 2.5 CFM unit with a 2HP 115V motor that uses less than 20A.

You have a number of good choices in this class of compressor. Why choose Komptec? We have low service costs, with a 500 hour (or annual) oil change interval. And our Air Filter / moisture separator design is quite effective. Filter life is 10 hours at 86F for the KT-90 for breathing air. There are other reasons you’d find interesting, but this is an intro. I’ll be happy to do a deep dive w/ anyone that wants to explore.

We are new to the US market, but the compressor is well proven over time. I do the warranty, and the spare parts supply. You’ll see more Komptec thru good distribution partners over time.

Take a look when you are in the market, I think you’ll be pleased.

Sorry, working a trade show last week, just got to this post.

Prices are on http://www.komptec.com.

What do you get in a US version of the Komptec compressor? Here are a few things that we have on the US version.

. 115V motor. Yes, we import these to Europe, then send them back. Our unit is rated at 20A, so should work in your house (check nothing else is on the 20A circuit)
. Pressure Maintaining Valve. An option on the European unit
. Bleed valve on the hose. An option on the European unit.
. Shipping to the US.

The Komptec web site has the base unit (with PMV and bleed valve) for $3095. We’ve price the 70 and 90 LPM units at the same pricing.

Better units for less dough? That plugs into a 20A 115V circuit? That has 500 hour oil change intervals with a low reving 3 stage design? Take a close look, I think you’ll be pleased.

Regards, Bill

Well I guess they are charging the U.S.A. twice as much then the E.U. to get back at Trump for stating if they want to
market their cars in the States they will have to pay a 35% levy tax .

Looks like they are already have them priced in the USA… http://komptec.com/us/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=2

the base model appears to be $3,095.00

And here are the prices over the pond… http://eu.komptec.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=2 overseas they are half the price.. €1,553.78

Good thing there is better choices out there for far less dough…

So Bill , what are the selling cost of each of your compressor models going to be for the U.S.A. market ?
