Q:

mutant or warp ?

ok guys i have a wicked air flex .30 and the AAA slayer .357 and now have money for a .22
has anybody shot the .22 warp with its ldc with all three baffles and the mutant with ldc what is the noise derf. of the two..
i want short and quiet orthewise i would just get the .22 barrel for the flex ….
short, pellet on pellet , quiet real quite..

i had the vulcan .25 with ldc and it was quiet but i want mouse fart quiet for dove, wabbit hunting around the house and in .22 shooting about 800-900 fps stuff 14gr-18gr .22 but would like to shoot heavy 25gr+ some time for 100yrd-150 yards shots
just can’t make up my mined
warp with .22 barrel and buy the .25 barrel long it would fit the flex and warp even though anything i would shoot the .25 with ..the .30 will cover
or just skip the .25 barrel all together and get the mutant
i need .22 up to 100yd for dove, wabbits even most would be 40-60yrd shots .alot of dove shots are 70-80 yards on power lines
that leshiy looks nice….just don’t think it will be as pellet on pellet at 60+ yards like warp or mutant
with the warp i could shoot .22 from 14. gr. up to 30gr pellets it looks like.
don’t know if the mutant “shorty” or long i like the shorty but the long is the same as my vulcan was and thats fine .
Can U ajust that much with just turning a adjuster spring any thoughts with the mutant can u adjust the power setting ,say if i wanted to try some heavy .22 pellets 25. gr or even bigger can i move the power up on the mutant then move it back down for like 16.gr i’m trying to not use the 25cal sense i have a .30 flex
most of the time i would be shooting the 16-18 gr pellets but …..
and is the fatboy ldc quieter than the normal ldc ….
and is the standard mutant more quiet than the shorty …. i would think so …..

i like bull pups… and the flex is a real nice shooter … just want to be some what stealth and real quiet And not look like i’m shooting a AR15 around the house i think the warp probably has more power but i don’t know ,if the mutant can adjust its power …. anyways
thought i would ask the right people here on this forum any help ?

quote ElmerFudd:

In my opinion, the Flex, Warp and Slayer are more minimalistic type airguns. Function over form designs. Many like that design concept since it’s similar to an AR type airgun with lots of aftermarket AR accessories you can add on. If you’re one of those people, you probably want to get a Warp. If you want a more traditional looking bullpup (Cricket, Vulcan, Matador and etc) the Mutant is probably the most mechanically inclined bullpup on the market right now. From the trigger to the cycling and mag loading standpoint, it is in many people’s opinion to be the best available. It certainly not the best looking bullpup out there but if you can live with the looks, it’s a solid performer. It also doesn’t have the spare parts availability as say Kalibrgun but besides needing spare mags, I don’t see many people needing spare parts.

As far as I am concerned, the Mutant is pretty “form follows function”. The good use of length and a magazine system designed for lower scope height are signs of good “form follows function” engineering. The Mutant trigger group is another example of thoughtful engineering. The magazine loading/unloading mechanical design is also very good.

I don’t have a WARp, so there is no comparison to speak of.

Own BOTH …. Given equal caliber and power setting the MUTANT gets my vote !!
