Q:

Puncher Breaker silent Syn stock 177cal

Well I just bought one from Pyramyd air,
I been wanting a 177 bull pup and just have not had the extra 1,500 laying around,
This deal came up for 499.00 Its unregulated, and its going to have a ping, but I am sure if? its accurate, I can fix the little problems.
I got a bunch of 177 pellets going back to the 60s Never opened, 70s and 80s to, Compared to the new JSBs and other news ones the old ones are I am sure junk, Expect I have a few very few Silver jet 177s
Seems like in the PCP world I went backwards 25, then 22 another 22 , Now a 177.
It shows it should ship 1-31-17 I got my fingers crossed with this gun.
For 50 years I was a 177 type shooter until I stumbled into the PCP world,
Got to order me some new modern 177 pellets for my new gun,
Mike

Mike,

Good luck with someone selling you the 177 cricket.
Heck there is a member listed his .22 standard mutant
forsale, all I wanted was a full length pic of his setup and a few questions answered and I had already figured I would just buy it; the guy has something else going on I guess.

I couldn’t get the pic of the rifle, nor the questions. Beats me 🙂 maybe you will have more luck 🙂

Or if I can find some one to sell me there 177 cricket short for 1000 bucks before 02-14-17 might save me a lot of shit, Not money just shit, LOL
Yes that’s a hint, Called a Texas hint,
Mike

Who’s got one of those. :biggrinn:

Its a love hate thing on the 177, I will go to work on the ping twang thing right off the bat, One thing I hated about the Marauder after shooting the Crickets was the ping and twang, It just sounded cheap, If I can get rid of that I am good to go,

iride , now that is what I call thinking positive .

FROM : THE BIRDMAN

Shit fire and save the matches
P/A reset my shipping date to 2-14-17
Just give me time to save up for a good Viper scope to put on the cheap gun,
I have already decided if its not sparrow perfect at 75 yards to have Earnest put me a good barrel on it ,
Even with a after market regulator and a good barrel is still a lot cheaper than a 177 Cricket, Hel that still leaves me 700 dollars to spend on pellets ,
Mike

Right now I rotate my guns one week the 22 cricket second week the 25 cricket, Now both these guns are set up just alike.
Third week the Mutant,
I think my Puncher will become my garage gun, Leave it out in the garage while I am working,
A little more of a kick around gun, Or maybe not, We will see,
Mike

Boy I don’t know…I just got done giving my Priest it’s last rights. So not sure about taking another chance.
From what I’ve seen of the videos, accuracy could be an issue! I see a lot of fliers going on. Then going back to the Marauder style spring loaded mag.
You get spoiled with the ease of loading the Cricket and Mutant mag.Would one actually want to pick it up and shoot it with the Cricket and Mutant next to it? Or would it become a dust collector because like the Priest not even close in comparison. At least the price is hard to beat so even adding the cost of a regulator still keeps it way under the cost of the $1200 and up PCP’s.

Pyramyd air has them on sale 499,
I think that is for all calibers , I kind of zeroed in on the 177.

Will do a report when the gun comes in chrono is up and running,
I can work around most any thing as long as its accurate and I can get away from the cheap ping, and twang of the gun,
My Crickets and mutant have spoiled me ,
Mike

I’ve got a few different regulators kicking around… I’m getting closers and closer to ordering one…..

Think I may get that .25… for the price it’s not bad. If the barrel is crap… ill have to find a BSA… or order a LW.

the black and nickel also.

These look like some nice rigs for the $$$ … I’m contemplating ordering a .25 in black with the nickel color

It’s basically Evanix RS2 so you can study Evanix tuning guides for assistance. De-pinger, little trigger work and light DIY barrel crowning should fix those typical shortcomings of this platform.
