Q:

FX Impact .25 with JSB MkII 33.95gr — what FPS are you getting?

I get 820 fps, everything maxed out and reg on ~145bar. Power wheel is on max (with screw under it adjusted for absolutely no play), valve setting maxed as well. Ambient temp is 4-5 degrees C or 40F.
I read here and there that some guys are getting 860 or even 880, that seems impossible with the 33.95gr pellet in my Impact.
That or my chrony is shit.

is it possible to slow down a heavy so much that it becomes unstable / spirals? I shot some at 500 FPS and it was quiet as shit, but i got caught up troubleshooting if it was broken and didn’t see if it was shooting accurate. Don’t have the gun now or i would do some more test. It was just a thought.

I’ll set it to 150 and report back.

Asked Ernest Rowe for help to replace the oring on the valve stem without actually stripping the whole gun, .. he hinted that there’s a shortcut to get to it by sliding the action back. He’ll do a video in the future.

AT EBR he had it tuned to 830 fps.

I thought Ted said his is shooting at 860 FPS. I too never got mine shooting that fast maxed out.

You need to have the reg as close to 150bars as possible. Though I would not want to use their gauge to determine that.

Do you just want more speed or is it not accurate? From what Ted (hold over ted) has shown that slower speeds seem to be more consistent with the heavies. His Impact seemed to be more stable/accurate at 830 fps (+/- 10 fps for all other impacts).
