Cleaning Pellet for O-ring Change (LOUD!!!!!)
Just a reminder because I forgot and my ears ended up ringing for a while….
When you shoot a cleaning pellet out of the Vulcan the noise when it exits the gun and hits your pellet trap is tremendously LOUD. This is WITH the LDC in place. I was so used to the LDC making everything quiet. Then BAM!!!! It was worse than a dieseling springer.
BTW, in case you don’t know what I’m saying about o-ring changes and the felt cleaning pellet….
The breach o-ring is hard to insert into its groove because it tends to go too far in rather then bending directly into the groove. By placing a cleaning felt pellet just past the groove, the felt helps direct the o-ring into its groove. Make the process much easier.
I remembered the felt pellet from my last o-ring change, but forgot about the noise.
Put on ear protection before firing that felt pellet out.

Also, mistakenly loading a pellet backwards and double loading is also a bad idea ……….. … .
Just get an old terry towel and fold it 4X, that’s 16 layers and place it on the ground set the muzzle on it very lightly and fire into it. :4: works like a charm Sir …….

Not to threadjack but what is the closest distance your SWFA SS focuses down to at higher magnifications?
On 15x it’s about 19 feet ……… at 3x about 12 feet, but at that close of a range u can go even closer and still make out the target.
The distance may vary slightly depending on how much u adjust the rear ob.
If u’re interested in buying one u should wait till they go on sale at https://swfa.com/optics/browse/riflescopes/swfa-ss-3-15×42-tactical-rifle-scope-3.html
Join their email list Sir ……… they will send u special sales when they come.
