Expectations of a Talon Tunes top hat
Hi guys.
Looking to make some upgrades to my talon ss 12″ 22. Currently on a MadDog stock, r&l moderator with a shimmed top hat. Pretty consistent 21 FPE.
How much of a boost should i expected, realistically, by changing it out?
Ran a shot string on my current setup. From 3k down to 2k was 21fpe 8% ES, over 75 shots. I’d estimate I could get another 50 shots before I dropped below 18fpe . That’s alot of shooting. Wouldn’t mind sacrificing in favor of power.

How much does Tony custom talon valve go for and is it still available?
I have one of Tony’s custom TT valves on my Talon SS .22 along with a hammer slap mod and flat neoprene washer behind the top hat. Shooting JSB 18.1gr @ ~815fps for 26.5FPE. I haven’t done a shot string but fill at 2800 and get one ragged hole groups at 25-35yrds for about ~40+ shots.
It will not fit a Talon tank. Only the condor.
