Q:

JSB heavy in a 25 cal?

Anyone prefer the heavy over the Kings? MKI or II? Thanks. Bill

A.B.E I will order the MK1’s next time I buy pellets.

My 25 was power tuned at Georgia AG, Charlie puts a plenum behind the regulator, set the reg to 135 bar and adds a metal HS adjuster.

Without stressing the reg or H/S my Cricket is pushing the 34 grain 920 – 925 fps. The H/S is 3 full turns from max. The PT was $200 and Georgia AG warranties the gun for a year after the tune. The $200 IMO was a no brainer, it turned the 25 into a different gun. After 65 -70 yards the added power made a big difference with the 34 grain.

Negatives are the sound went up (still BYF) and I am getting 38 – 40 shots on a 220 bar fill. The one thing I highly recommend if your thinking of getting a PT is make sure your 25 likes one of the heavy 25 pellets(31 grain+). My groups open up at 55 – 60 yards with the 25 grain kings at 1050 fps.

Photos above show the plenum behind the regulator and the metal H/S.

New guy here with a Cricket .25. I started off with the 25.4’s and was pretty happy until I shot the 33.95 heavies MKI. They shot good so I ordered a tin of MKII’s to try out and at first they did not shoot as good as the MKI’s but my fps was down around 790. I have since rebuilt my gun and adjusted the reg up a bit and it is now shooting the heavies at 865 fps. It’s a toss up which one is better until I have time to stretch it out to 100 yards or so. This target was shot at 40 yards fresh off the rebuild on one fill, 12 shots each bull. The bottom right I was adjusting the scope as I shot.

Can I bump up my FPS by 40 or 50 fps with the spring adjustment? Thanks
