25 Mutant Standard Veteran FPE, FPS
Been off here for a while, Took off about to 10 day to go work on the hunting cabin near Junction , Tx with my two brothers
I see they released the Veteran, But I am getting conflicting reports on the power of the ,25 on site says 45 FPE and a another says 55 FPE ???
I guess I need some real reports from real people on there .25 Mutant STANDARD,
Anyone have one that wants to put there 2 cents in here Please do so…
Oh, Axis deer meat does taste like beef, No wild flavor, My brother took it with a 30-06 .

The Dick Van Dyke show? Holy crap – I remember watching that as a kid. He must be older ‘n dirt. The Red Ryder restriction was prob for health reasons. Recoil from anything more powerful than a Red Ryder would prob knock someone that old right over. Unless they were in a wheelchair of course.

I hope you’re some sort of comedy writer in “real life”. Seems it’d be a waste if you only indite here.
For what it is worth, my .25 came shooting JSB Kings at about 915, Mk. II at 815-820. Definitely hotter than Dairyboy’s. Who knows why?!
I really haven’t had time to do much deliberate accuracy testing with it, but the Mk. II have been frustrating. They show some potential on one group, then scatter shots, etc., the next. I haven’t used them much before so I don’t know what to expect. Maybe I need to increase the velocity. As the chart shows, I could turn the power up at the expense of shot count. Same thing with the Mk. I which I happened to have on hand. Or maybe the gun just needs to break in more.
Best results so far seem to be AA 25.4 at about 890 right now. So far I would say similar to an Edgun, but quieter.

this chart shows some data of 0.25 that manufacturer test
the 0.25 veteran LW 460mm barrel as standard
data shows from 250bar to 135bar gives 29 shots with JSB2.2 @ 261m/s that is :
***34gr @ around 855fps
and from 250b to 135bar gives 37 shots with JSB 1.645 @ 289m/s that is :
*** 25gr @ around 948fps
if you want more power i believe that gotta be the long version

My Vulcan is set at 880 FPS with .31gr Barracudas. Big boys shoot big pellets!
It’s plenty of power for what I do here in the Village of the Walking Dead!
It seems to hit everything I shoot at, and everything I hit seems to get real sick in a hurry, so I’ve got no complaints.
I do admit to some degree of surprise that you have brothers! I thought at one time you told me your parents were so poor that they had to eat their children…remember? You said the only reason you are alive today is because you let your ear hair grow long and pretended to be the family dog. No real Texan would ever shoot their dog!

I got my concealed carry permit last month. My wife then hid my gun. I tried to explain to her that I was the permit holder and was the only person legally permitted to conceal my gun! She promptly retrieved my gun, cocked it, pointed it at my head and said I must have read the rules wrong…I then allowed that she might have a point!
I’ve been having weird thoughts lately…so my doctor told me I needed a hobby. I asked him if alcoholism was considered a hobby? He said that it was more of a lifestyle, and suggested I take up kissing my ass every time I got an urge to do something “strange”. I explained I had asked several of my neighbors for help in that regard, and had very little luck, as most of the time when that subject came up we seemed to be arguing and cussing each other. About that time the police arrived at the doctor’s office and I had to leave out the back door for an urgent appointment on the other side of town.
I’m going to pour myself another drink now, it’s close to 4:00 am and will be time for breakfast soon…I’ve got some Bloody Mary mix already chilling in the fridge and need to chop up some celery sticks. I don’t know how that Doctor expects me to find time for a hobby, I’m so busy now I can barely get through the day!

55 FPE is a good start, I like my .25 shooting at 940 FPS to reach out there a ways , I like to shoot dead on at 30 yards and 50 yards, and you have to have the oomph to get that done,
I would not even buy a Mutant 25 if I could not get it up to the power of my Cricket 25,
99.9 % of my shooting is at 30 and 50 yards.
How hard is it to tune the Veteran up to 55 FPE?

They come tuned for around 45fpe and can be tuned as high as 55fpe with the 34gr JSBs.

I took the 25 Cricket with me just to impress my brothers with a pellet gun, Both were WOWED at the gun and the price, LOL.
Both my brothers are RICH , by my means and both are tight wads, My oldest brother (65) has a RV that cost more than my house.
