IMHO,
One of the best ways to check your trajectory, is use a big enough target, put a 1″ dot in the center,
using the same spec’s ie, ammo/pellet/PSI etc for your AR.
Then start at 10yds measured, shoot 3 well aimed shoots, mark them for that yardage,
move to 20 yds, do the same, and keep moving the distance out farther,
until you can no longer hit the 1″ target.
By doing this you can observe the high/low POI at these yardages,
for your AR and spec’s etc.
Then you can note this info on your stock or inside the scope cover,
and can refer to it, at any time you are shooting, as long as you keep the same spec’s for pellet etc.
I use to zero at 25 yards near zero and 38 far zero when I had a small backyard now I zero at 50 shooting 50 to 100 yards. Guess it all depends on what you have and how far you plan on shooting daily.
