Q:

0-ring

In a fit of zeal to have the cleanest barrel possible on my .25 Tactic I manage to dislodge and lose the o-ring which provides the seal when the pellet probe is seated. Nice thing it makes that loud noise and a puff of air right in the face providing immediate feedback of having screwed up.

Anyway, if I’ve cracked the code in the owners manual that o-ring size is 5×1.5. (Dang furrin measurement system)

Certainly I’m not the only one who’s done this. Fortunately there were two replacement o-rings as part of the materials I received with the rifle. (Wonder how they knew I would make this particular screw up?)

Anyway, in the interest of having a couple more on hand for when the mood strikes to once again have the cleanest barrel on the planet, does anyone have a good source for replacements?

Thanks.

On mine I just push in a cleaning rod until it comes up to the o-ring groove then I push in 0-ring. Drops into the groove every time. The end of the rod keeps the o-ring from turning sideways. Only takes a few seconds to insert.

Thanks for the link to the list of O-rings. Looks like I need to sharpen up the search skills. Since I couldn’t find it earlier.

I did try one of the o-rings and it seems to be working just fine. Bit of a pain in the rear to get it installed but I managed it eventually.

Probably a good idea to order some of a known size just to be sure.

Thanks again for the assistance.

there is a post with all o rings

if .25 it is a 6.35mmx1.5mm not 5.5mm, the first number is the internal diameter. that is the size of the pellet -common sense no?

by the way you can use thinner one
like 6.35 x 1.27mm Nitrile 70 O’Ring (50x) so not 1.5mm thick, but it will be still hard work to press the pellet into the barrel.
if it is a .22, just get a 5.5×1.5

to get it in is a pain, you can use a pellet and a cleaning rod anything what stops the o ring just slipping deep into the barrel. usually making “8” shape before inserction helps. use something bent but something soft what will not damage the barrel.

maybe your spares are filll probe o rings. no idea try to measure the I.D. on them if it its 6.35 give it a try
