Q:

My .25 Vet

Took delivery of the Sumo two days after I ordered it, Thank you Donny. The Vet took 5 days to get to Texas from Tony. I had a long HS, from Ernest, waiting on it to arrive. I can’t thank Ernest enough as he has helped all of the airgun community immensely.
The Vet delivered well packed and with Talon decals and such included. Also included was Tony’s 1O shot string with 25.4 grainers and a 30 yards group. Thank you Tony.
I installed Ernest’s long HS and did a 20 shot string with the 33.95 grain JSB’s. Average was 885 fps. I will put this Vet to work in long range competition, thus my reason for the King Heavy.
Shot the amazing bullpup today. It is an awesome gun. The Sumo is top notch. For a 60 FPE rifle, it’s crazy quiet. In fact, it’s quiet for any power airgun. The LW is doing what it is expected to do, deliver the goods. I am getting just 20 shots on reg from a 250 bar fill but this is stellar performance at this power level and from such a small package. Here are a few pictures. Groups are 10 shots each from 55 yards resting just the foregrip on a bag. Yeah, I freaking love this package!!!!

Yes, Turbo, Like foxback says, its very simple. follow his instruction only make sure you loosen the Hammer Spring Adjuster’s set screw before adjusting is and snug it back when you have it set as you want. I like to spray a bit of dry film lube on the spring as well.

I haven’t tried polymags. Honestly, I don’t like them. In my past experiences with them, they just aren’t very accurate. Maybe it was just that I didn’t spend enough time finding the speed they like but they always opened up my groups. I know they are very good at dumping energy into the target but if I can’t hit almost exactly where I’m aiming, I chunk them to the side.

turbo…..

just take the two pins that came with your gun.
and take a look at the back of the gun. un-do the round cap, with your two pins.

and swap out the spring, tune & enjoy, happy shooting. :biggrinn:

wall have u tried using predator pellets in your 25? 🙄

you change anything ?

I added a longer hammer spring. That’s it!

zx10wall, is it difficult to swap out the HS?
How do I learn how to do the same?

Hope I can get to it soon as before you know it it’ll be 112 degrees out and you won’t see me out shooting in that heat whilst pumping with mah Hill.

Yeah, I saw that group and laughed at the story of being hurried. That shows crazy good potential to say the least.

I do have a 45 min and 60 min CF bottles. I don’t have a compressor as of now. Carry them to a dive shop and get them filled.

Let us see when you try the 100 again.

Yeah, do as I say, not as I do. Why don’t you ask me why I haven’t gotten back out to 100 since that late night I took those shots in the church parking lot? Well, I’m staining my kitchen cabinets with General Finishes Java Gel Stain but first I had to replace all the handles with updated ones and matching hinges. Those hinges….filling in old holes with putty and lining up the new ones has taken me many hours after I get off work. Then this weekend I get to get to stainin’.

I’d say a motorcycle accident is more a reason to not be able to get out and shoot. Anyway, I just want to make sure all Vet .25’s are accurate as mine, or even more so. I’ve also been studying up on compressors but right now just isn’t the time for me so a pump remains in my near future. I’m guessing you’re tanked out, cuz if not you’re gonna have a hell of a time pumping with your injuries!

Oh dadgumit. You had to go there. Now I must push the recovery. :winkn:

I’ll be shooting soon!!

Pathetic excuses!

Get better quick and put that bitch to the test!

You played around out at 100yds yet?

Unfortunately I have not. I freaking wrecked my motorcycle again!! It hurt bad this time! Road rash, fractured left ankle and tibial plateau fracture in my right knee. Had surgery almost two weeks ago. I’m now to the point that I can use crutches but I can’t carry guns or cases around.

I’m done with motorcycles now. It’s going to be another 2.5 months before I can bear weight on my knee. I hope to get my shooting buddy to come shoot with me soon. He can help me tote some things around. I haven’t even broken the Vet in man. It’s just a matter of time though.

You played around out at 100yds yet?

LOL. I walked into that one didn’t I? That’ll teach me to read more closely.
