Q:

New guy with a question.

Hi, all:

Apparently, I was registered here for a while, but never really visited, probably because I had to forfeit my airgun hobby while I was in school (it ain’t cheap). I’m hoping to be a proud owner of one of Tony’s creations soon, which brings me to my question:

Does anybody know what’s the deal with the setbacks with Talon Tunes orders? I was supposed to get my gun in early March, and it’s still not shipped. Tony has a solid reputation, so I’m not worried about my money or anything, but time is a factor right now, hence the concern. I had a lot of things planned this spring, and I had to cancel on a lot of them because my gun still hasn’t shipped. Half the time I can’t get a hold of anyone, the other half I get told that the gun will ship next week, and still nothing. Next weekend, I have a trip planned, a trip that I already paid for, so I’d like to either have my gun or at least a refund so I can buy something that is readily available. Not trying to be a dick, but I need something that goes ‘boom’ by next weekend lol.

If anyone knows about the delays and what the reason behind them is, please let me know.

Maybe some other time, hopefully soon. I ended up canceling the order this time since timing is an issue. Tony was more than gracious refunding my order. I’ll definitely be looking to do business with him again, hopefully in near future.

Dang hope all is well with tony. Good dude. Have done business with him for a while and always took care of me.

Hope you get your gun bro. Post pics when you do.

Got an update. Apparently, something happened at the shop. I don’t know exactly what it is, but keep the TalonTunes family in your prayers.

That’s the thing, though, he told me the gun was ready over a month ago. It was actually ready within the time frame he gave me (6-8 weeks).

Well, I don’t know anything about Tony’s current workload, but I can say that custom work almost alaways tkaes longer than expected. I’ve had custom work done for airgun related stuff and for other things, and I don’t think I remember anything that ever came in the time of the original estimate.

I did, many times. That’s why I was wondering if anyone on the forum knows anything about it.

Call Tony!
