I must apologize. I have it on good authority that the Shorty is doing 900 fps out of the box in caliber .25! (40 fpe)

Mike….I don’t believe what the sheriff says about you “….he’s so full of shit we had to dig a waste treatment plant next to his house!!! Why I heard he buys his toilet paper by the skid-load down at Costco!!!”
However, if what you say is true regarding the Shorty…40 fpe…then I’d buy a Veteran Shorty. I can’t help but wonder about shot count.
Kind regards….

(In West Texas, ‘skid marks’ are common on the road, even moreso in a man’s underwear, and many times can be seen on the outside of his underwear…”)
I heard from the sign that Tony has up its got 40 FPE,
Now that’s the 25 V Mutant shorty,
But I might need my 19gr H&H .25 pellets standing by.
Its all good, Trust me, The east block gun people would not sell a Dud of a Mutant,
It would be bad for the name, I think they have a few tricks up there sleeve,
Dmans been coaching them, :4:
Plus I would have to tuck my tail and run over there on the AGN site, Or just eat crow,
No I do not shoot crows.

Does anyone have any stats on how the Shorty .25 will shoot?
With that short barrel, unless some changes were made, it might not be much more powerful than the .22~ I’m concerned enough that I hesitate to get too serious about a .25 Shorty!
Comments? Anyone know more about the .25 Shorty performance?
Hoot:
I just tried them in my .22 Mutant…not that impressed. If I need to shoot 25 grain pellets I will just step up to my .25 Veteran.
I tried the monsters and they were ok. Nothing to brag about for sure…I think 1″ at 50yds was best they could do
Read good things about the 22 JSB Straton Jumbo Heavy 25.39 gr.
I have the Beast in 177, not tried them in 22 yet but u need to single load them.
Get ready, heavy hitters …….. accurate like it is the drop would be like a rock.
JSB Exact Jumbo Beast .22 cal, 33.96 Grains, length is 10.7mm with a 1.32mm skirt depth with a BC of 0.132 !!!

My mutant seems to like the JSB Straton Jumbo Heavy 25.39 gr pellets. It stacks pellets at 50yds just like the 18.13 gr, but obviously they are a little slower. I have not chrono’d them yet.
Oh Dman is giving me hope for my .25 shorty coming in,
I do agree accuracy is number one on the list,
I like speed but I love accuracy above all else,
Mike
Fits into the mags well, never tried shooting it out of the Shorty yet though.

Jumbo Monsters never perform well in any of my guns ……. but only heard that in 177 cal do they do well if pushed to the right velocity. Easier just to go up a cal IMO instead of trying to over tune a already great shooter.

Have you shot them out of a CZ barrel before?
They shoot like shit.
The 18.1s will shoot 960s with the regulator adjusted properly.
No need for hammer spring.
Set your reg pressure at 150 bar and I’m betting you’ll see 900 fps….
Accuracy is another thing…
If memory serves me correctly, Ernest, the BullPup Doctor, turned a Mutant standard into a 30 cal. cannon. Just hoping the barrel in the Mutant standard will accept the the Jumbo Monsters. I hope the power will be adequate, perhaps a heavier Hammer spring?
