Q:

Vulcan .25 Power

Hi guys
Well after I chrono’d my gun and found the power to be all over the place I had a chat with Evengy.
He sent me a nice new hammer/spring/deping set and after fitting this the gun is perfectly stable now.
My only gripe is that my power sits at 44ft lbs
No matter how hard the hammer adjust is screwed in it’s the same power.
Has anyone else had the same issue where the reg might be a little low?

Thanks

Dear Roscoe…

My Vulcan sits at that power level as well. Here’s the deal…the best shot count, accuracy, air usage lies at around 880 fps in a Vulcan. (Not everyone will agree with this)

My Vulcan was Ernest-Tuned, and sure enough for accuracy, shot count, my best results are 880 fps in .25 caliber and I get about 44 fpe. If power is your goal, you can change your regulator setting to give more punch to your shot. However, there will be residual impact and that will likely result in accuracy loss and lower shot count.

That’s my take on it. There’s plenty of forum members smarter than I am, so comments welcome.

Hoot:

what power was it shooting at with the old hammer setup?
Have you changed the regulator setting?
