Q:

TAIPAN WITH A FORWARD COCKING ACTION?…

What if the Taipan, got thier foot hold in the market place, with their bullpups.
But keep the evolution of their design going. Making improvements which they are doing.
And not staying the same, maybe do a forward cocking action, like in this pic.

This bullpup in the pic, is the same size as the shorty Taipan
Build it & we will buy. What do you guys think.

All comments welcome. 🙄

Would be kool……
The Mutant is a great platform too build on.

I say build them all, a long Taipan, 177. & a give people a choice of a side fwd lever gun.
Like in the pix. :angrymob:

They would sell them all. :biggrinn:
That’s kind of what the Edgun is doing, with his line up of guns.

I wonder if there is enough demand for a long rifle Mutant for them to be imported?
I know that you can pick up a cricket rifle cheaper than a bull Pup,
I do know if I ever wanted to add a rife I would want a Cricket or a Mutant rifle.

Funny thing is I’ve only seen one Taipan long in a pic ever.
And I look at a lot of Russian air gun sites. No ever shows pix of them or talks about them.

I don’t think will ever see them. But I could be wrong. :2cents:

Heck, I would like to try and build one on my own .22 long, if I ever get one… I really don’t see that as a big thing to do really, but then I have yet to be able to put my paws on one to have a first hand looksee at one of these.

But yes I will be guilty of putting a side lever on one if I ever get one. Like the side lever just in front of the trigger. Just bring me a .22 long and lets see what I can do… 🙂 🙂 🙂

Yea I wonder why there is no magazine in the gun? Would that be a dead give away of a rebadged Mutant?
That’s the only reason I did not buy a Vulcan is the forward cocking arm, I am just real happy with my rear cocking arm.

Well all we know about this Blazar .177 cal. ( 7J ) gun is what it looks like , and I for one like the looks of it . What other
calibers it comes in is unknown as well as no info given on the .177 cal. Looks nice to me , but it could a real winner or
a real piece of garbage . It maybe only available in Europe and not to the States . At this point every thing about it is up
in the air . Do I like the forward cocking lever on it ? Hell yes I do , Since I have put the same type of cocking lever on my
.25 Vulcan I really do not want to have a bolt action lever or a rear cocking lever gun ever again . The forward cocking
lever works the best for me and would I sell a gun that doesn’t have it for a new gun that does have it , you bet . :8:

FROM : THE BIRDMAN

The Blazar is also in 177 that a few people on here want the Mutant to come out with. :angrymob:
And I am going to agree with 1114 , I do not think I would like the upper side lever, I think it would be awkward,
It might be smooth as shit with prunes and enough fiber just not sure,,,, Hoot:
Come to think about it, I think it would be cool to have a 177, 22 and 25 shorty, :2cents:
To pull that off one Cricket would have to go, And I do not see that happening, Well and come to think of it I do not see the Mutant shorty coming in a 177 cal so that ends that, The .22 and .25 Crickets are safe, :4:
Mike

Yea Jamie…
that puppy is sick. :suprisedn:

Don’t think it would be that hard too pull off. You can see that they use a flat bar that
goes into the receiver. And is held on to the hammer like the Vulcan, with fwd lever. :biggrinn:

Man them Ukraine boys make some nice guns….

Haven’t really had a fwd lever gun… had the Vulcan and found it awkward to cock… not really a fan

I’m with you guys that……

I don’t think that, I would sell the one that have now.
But I would maybe buy, if they came out with a .177 Taipan. :biggrinn:
This gun is also, made in the Ukraine.

The forward cocking, or lack thereof is what gave me pause on the Vet. Now that I have it, it doesn’t bother me any. Would I like a future unit with the lever, yes. Would I sell the Vet, no. I hate selling guns and try to keep even the ones I don’t shoot, as far as powder burners, anyway. I see the same happening with AG’s.

I know you have a 25 on order, If Mutant came out with the forward cocking gun in a couple of months , Would you turn around and sell yours to get one?
I myself would not, Its not that big a deal for me as all my guns are rear cocking guns…
Now someone that was both needs to step in and tell us is it just a FARKLE (neat to have) or is it REALLY that much better,
Mike
