Electric Rail Pellet Gun

I have been watching all vids about the Navy’s new rail gun and the DIY about making your own.

Crap, I have enough caps and power supplies to do one.

So how long can a lead .22 pellet short voltage across 2 300v+ rails before it melts ?

Anyone else playing with rail guns ?

Projectile needs to be magnetic. Requires a lot of large caps.

Built a rail gun in college for senior project. Propel a steel bb at greater than 5 m/s. I think we used 10-12 coke can sized capacitors.

There are some YouTube guys that built one, they have it on a wagon w a lot of electrify storage.
