Q:

Rifle Carousel Rack

Was getting fed up with rifles bumping into each other. Base is 16″, 12″ lazy susan bearing, 12″ upper rack with 2″ holes for AirForce rifles

Finally got it sanded and stained last night. Clear coat on tonight and then the felt goes in, disassembled before going in the safe.

quote Jethro:

It looks really great but ……. given that you’re planning on putting it in a gun cupboard where access may be limited, is it possible that having holes in the top as opposed to cut outs may make it awkward to take the rifles in and out? Just a thought.

It is a proper gun safe, but yes I think I may need to cut the notch out. Also the Condor SS maybe to tall! I’d like to keep part of the safe above the rifles for Air Pistol storage and .22lr ammunition and rifle ammunition.

Its a work in progress for sure! LOL!

Well, I think I will have to redo the top to bring the barrels closer in. The scopes I have are huge! All (3)30mm and one 34mm tubes with big turrets. My problem is my safe is small at only 17″ wide. Can’t afford another safe right now or a bigger one!

Awesome job. I have always wanted to build one of those to fit into my safe so I don’t have to take everything out to get to the one in the back. You have inspired me to do it. Thanks.
I may be PMing you about some of the details.

Looking good

Ready for final sand and stain and assembly. will finish it up on Wednesday Thursday and install and final photos.
